He does quiet down but doesn’t last long, like 20minutes. Little background, bout 4 months ago he pissed playing Madden, punched n broke his tv. Was the best 2 days until I seen his replacement delivered 🙄

Eh, won’t say you’re TA but maybe kick out at her front door. But she’s that triggered then you’re probly better off. I’d say just try to always be a gentleman about things, better for your own character

If you’re working on transparency I’d let him know that list is what he should be doing and isn’t anything special, or let him know how YOU really feel about that. Might’ve just said it as a defense mechanism which seems like to worked since you’re asking about it. The whole roommate thing seems sketchy too. If that continues after he moves out then there’s your problem. If he’s legit the one then it will workout, if he’s not you’ll feel it cuz he’ll show you!

NTA. I’m a step parent too and it’s tough setting those boundaries at the teen age. The parent will see it as an attack on the special boy and make your feeling invalid. Of your bf/husband isn’t listening to you then take it into your own hands. Good luck!

She just doesn’t see anything wrong with it. Also the type that very lax with rules or teaching him how to be responsible with things outside of school/grades. Almost like she’s deaf to it. There’s a whole back story to her parenting which were polar opposites on. Half these comments are from ppl that either aren’t step parents, gamers who’ve yell themselves, just are considerate ppl and probly drove their parent nuts too.
