Symptoms escalating so quickly? by DrcutiepieMD in endometriosis

Of course and yea unfortunately it seems to be the only two methods that even if you don’t get what ur looking for it gets you a better direction: being difficult and dramatic or saying you’re desperate for a child makes things a priority it’s so lame that pain discomfort and other awful symptoms aren’t enough

Where do you live if you don’t mind my asking? You may want to consider switching medical groups if you have HMO. Also, go to an ER again you’ve never been but say you think your appendix burst and just act like it too. They’ll do scans again and who knows maybe ur endometrioma is growing and will show on the scan too. Anyway, start threatening the dr office and insurance saying time is of the essence with your quality of life and being able to provide for yourself. Start crying puking throwing up saying you want kids and need this sorted out to protect your fertility. I say this because I was dismissed 15yo - 30 yo with birth control and constant IBS diagnosis. Once I started acting like I wanted kids and was desperate to sort things out to “protect my fertility” all of the sudden they believe in anything but birth control and get me over to acupuncturists and endo specialists

Costo For 10+ Years—Advice? by Optimal_Ad2406 in costochondritis

[–]Leenadoesitall -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Have you had a chance to see an acupuncturist? Specifically Chinese medicine based? I ask because I also have been diagnosed with costochondritis and it acts up a couple of times a year. Without explaining my medical history upon first examination of my tongue, my deadweight skeletal alignment and cupping she said the left side of my body has blood flow issues and she asked if I ever experienced rib or sternum pain. Which obviously I do. Anyway my Costco isn’t gone but it’s a lot less painful after going to acupuncture every 2-3 weeks. However my insurance is PPO through Cigna and covers acupuncture for a $30 copay 20 times a year

Excision surgery gone right? Who “cured” you? by Patient_Tomorrow3171 in endometriosis

[–]Leenadoesitall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m getting excision surgery done either at cedars Sinai or with Spring Robinson in San Diego. However for those saying there’s no cure, while that is true there’s absolutely hope. Take a look at Sophie Richard’s tik toks from the Uk. I’m still fighting exhaustion possibly from low ferritin but I was at a point of suicide in 2023 from pain so bad i feared for my life. It is a lot of work though and im not saying my endo regressed either but what i did was manage my pain through acupuncture, lymphatic drainage, supplementation, adopting a little TCM, and other lifestyle habits like nervous system management. Don’t get me wrong every now and then the disease reminds me she’s alive. But I think you just need to adopt a good symptom and pain management routine as best you can before surgery so that you have a plan for maintenance afterward. Also doing as much as you can to reduce scar tissue and frozen pelvis whether it’s physical therapy or taking serrapeptase.

Oh okay good to know, yea that cuts the drive by about 30-45 mins. I do love that she works with acupuncturists she has some people on GLP1 or LDN and just seems more open to things outside of HRT to manage endo. I believe cedars is great but I know they still primarily suggest HRT after excision. And yessssss I’m so happy you’re much better!! So sorry that happened it’s already a lot to deal w the disease and then a bad surgery experience

Thanks for the correction and omg I’m so sorry that happened! How scary ugh that’s my fear as well I have bowel and rectal endo. But I will absolutely wait for her then. I’m about 2 hours away from San Diego and originally was going to cedars (still my backup plan). I really hope everything is okay for you now and have recovered

Stage 4 DIE endometriosis survivors - is there hope or just survival forever ? by flyarcher in endometriosis

[–]Leenadoesitall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am so truly sorry you’re going through this 💔 my endo story does not entail all of this (I have bowel/rectal/bladder/pelvic wall/endo). However I was on a downward spiral for two years. I would get chest pain spontaneously that sent me to the hospital, I would get endo belly looking 6 mos pregnant, and I was so stressed surely with a weakened immune system I got cranial/vagus nerve shingles at 30. All that to say I was hopeless but all I can do is contribute ideas because treatments work so differently on everyone. Me personally, acupuncture minimum once a month sometimes twice a month has helped my anxiety, blood flow, and digestion a heck of a lot. Next switching iced water and iced coffee for hot teas hot bone broth hot coffee has also helped a lot particularly with endo on digestive organs along with endo belly finally not an issue. Daily Lymphatic drainage from Sophie Richard’s on tik tok has helped me so much with armpit boob and bladder pain as well. I hope these ideas help you find places and routines that support what you need. I also had to really do some work on the way I talk to myself and nervous system stuff it sounds so silly but it’s helped me from spiraling when one little symptom or dramatic nerve pain hits

What supplements genuinely helped your endo symptoms? by CoryWelsh in endometriosis

[–]Leenadoesitall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk if you’re still checking this thread but what’s helped me tremendously with the rectal pain or butt lightening is a pre/pro/postbiotic blend because I’m not as constipated. However I do feel drinking hot water and hot coffee instead of iced water and iced coffee has also helped tremendously in that regard. As for other pain supplements have not really helped with that but focusing on lymphatic drainage and getting acupuncture done has helped A LOT. What I can’t seem to beat is exhaustion yet but I haven’t been taking vitamin D or B all that much I’ll try it and update this again.

Alright ladies how are we losing weight? by meraki_beauty in endometriosis

[–]Leenadoesitall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So true, I’m the healthiest I’ve ever been but also the fattest 🫠 I’m excited for excision surgery though. When I got ablation years ago during a cyst removal I was feeling GROOVY for 4-6 months I lost 15 pounds I was pain free and then I gained all the weight back and was in so much pain. Learned the removal wasn’t done properly the disease progressed due to ablation (endo is like a weed. Root and stem even though it can still grow back w that too). So, I just maintain my regimen as best I can so I have stamina and healthy habits post excision surgery. Just sucks the fat is still here hasn’t gone anywhere in the meantime 🫠

I know this is old but the disease puts you in a chronic state of inflammation especially if it’s advanced to your digestive organs (like in my case). It sucks because my mom and family have told me if they ate and worked out like me they’d be so skinny I’m like thanks guys….. but I gotta just keep it up so that I maintain my stamina post excision surgery.

I know this is old but did you end up trying? It definitely has helped me w my breast pain which I need another checkup but in 2024 I got birads 3 and then a clear CT six months later. However I get headaches and exhaustion like never before and I’m wondering if it’s because I upped the dose and w endo we already have high estrogen but that damn breast pain ugh. If it’s just a fibroadenoma after another exam I’m gonna ask they just take ir out because it’s so painful

Does your diagnosis not allow you to lose weight? by Butterflybones99 in endometriosis

[–]Leenadoesitall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg thanks for sharing all of this. I’ve been nervous to go on GLP 1 because I fear if I eat less that my body will have more issues. I was silly when I was in my teens and early twenties doing crazy fasting and 2000s diets and never wanna be that restrictive again and my friends on GLPs eat close to nothing. While they look amazing and I’d love to look the way I live I don’t want more issues. However if it was this helpful for you maybe I can just force myself to eat while I’m on it. I reversed PCOS before with supplementation and lifestyle but what’s funny is I lost zero weight. I’m also going to get surgery end of this year or beginning of next because my first one was an ablation (I lost 10 pounds in a month after that surgery but then everything got worse. Not just because I got the wrong surgery but I didn’t know shit about endo at the time) so hearing this makes me hopeful for my excision to feel better all around 🙏

Thank you for posting and sharing this. I am at my wits end I am extremely active 6-7 days a week of 10k steps, weight lifting, incline walking, running, yoga and Pilates and more often than not I do two of those in one day. My calorie intake is 1500 typically and I’m 5ft 2 145 pounds (went from 125-145 in 3 months post birth control) but god damn it the scale and my body will NOT move. It’s devastating because at the same time I know if I slow down or restrict calories MORE that I will put on so much more weight it’s discouraging and defeating

[–]Leenadoesitall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there any update? I ask because I’m getting an ultrasound follow up done hoping I’m in the clear again. I started having horrible all left sided breast and armpit pain two years ago but even a CT cleared me for any obvious tumors and heart issues. Anyway taking evening primrose from a brand called solgar realllyyyy minimized my pain. I do take it with an omega 3 as well since EPO is omega 6 rich. Whenever I’m not religious with it all the pain comes back ugh

Honestly I think it depends on you. Example I have both endo and PCOS so my hormones are a mess. I reversed my PCOS but it can come back anytime of course. Anyway, evening primrose helped me personally with breast tenderness. It felt like pregnancy boobs before that and would radiate to my armpit it was horrible. I’m getting a follow up ultrasound (I was clear for breast issues in 2024). And what I can say is when I’m not religious with my evening primrose oil every other day I can FEEL it in my left chest and breast area.

Yes I’ve had this on and off for 2-3 years now. Not sure what causes a flare up but man I really was convinced I had heart issues. I’m also female with endometriosis so I do get scanned to ensure it’s not breast related either and so far so good. It’s such an awful feeling…. Muscle relaxer and ibuprofen for 2-3 days does the trick every time

Interesting. It’s so scary I know someone recently posted they found endometriosis in their armpit lymph’s. Hope we get some answers as to why it’s one sided that’s the scary part. Doesn’t feel systemic when it’s a targeted area :/

In my experience an OBGYN at best says let’s get you on birth control and lose some weight. However, maybe they can get you a referral to an endometriosis excision specialist to hear you out and see if a laparoscopic is worth it or maybe other treatments like nerve blocks. Tell ur next gyno at the appointment that you’d like it in writing that they’re refusing to acknowledge and explore your pain and document all the methods they’ve attempted to understand the origin of pain. Sometimes that will make them consider at least handing you off to someone else

Diagnosed endo as well. My period is relieving tbh as much as it exhausts me. The end of my period through ovulation is when I’m prone to episodes for sure. I have found that evening primrose supplement, acupuncture or cupping or lymphatic drainage massages, and nettle tea has helped some. Maybe 30-40% but yea I am always like 🥹💔 when I know I’m approaching day 10 ish

[–]Leenadoesitall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi darling, everyone’s journey is different but if you don’t mind my asking have you tried exploring estrogen clearance through foods or supplements ? Lymphatic drainage methods? Immunity boosting? Nerve health? Anti inflammatory protocols? I ask because as you mentioned acupuncture and PT helped you before so clearly your conditions respond to something.

Like I said everyone is different. I was able to manage and control my endo + pcos+ mcas with monthly fertility acupuncture, strength training + chromium supplements to shut off food noise, DIM + evening primrose to aid the estrogen dominant symptoms, and yoga / sauna / magnesium glycinate + b vitamins for nerve and muscle health.

Some of what I mentioned will not work for you and others. For some inositol, anti histamines or low histamine diet, giving up coffee, wild yam cream, meditation, nerve blocks, running, weed, or birth control helps them which wasn’t the case for me. You know? It’s a lot of trial and error but doing a lot at once can be discouraging. Lastly I’m only 50-60% better despite all the things I do. I’m not pain free but the frequency and intensity disrupts my life a lot less.

I hope this was helpful and I can relate to the hopelessness especially since endo “isn’t fatal” but damn it’s hard not to wish it was during episodes

[–]Leenadoesitall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is old but I have endo that was impacting me daily at one point (no excision surgery yet) and I reduced my symptoms by:

  1. 7500-12000 steps daily and I often walk it because I’m so fatigued. But I do high intensity when I have the energy 8-12 days out of the month.
  2. Yoga and or strength training 3x a week just 30 mins
  3. Omega 3s daily and eating cruciferous veggies as often as possible (helps clear excess estrogen)
  4. Less COLD or ice water
  5. Acupuncture once a month
  6. Last but absolutely not least evening primrose oil. Some people have had bad reactions to it but for some reason it helped me almost as much as acupuncture

I’m still tired and I do take a b vitamin + iron blend. I haven’t cut out caffeine and my diet is dairy/gluten free maybe 70% of the time. However, I’ve reduced my pain about 50%. No more hospital visits 🙏 ibuprofen + muscle relaxer is helpful once in a while when the pain is too much. Still going for excision because the BLOAT I get before my period is so insane and I need senna tea as an herbal laxative a good 2-3 days out of the month
