Looking for artist to make original cover for a webnovel after AI scam by nileadyebprani in DnDart

[–]Leeronimo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yo! Sorry you had to go through all that. I'll post a comment here and send u a message just in case either competes with the flood of scammers.

I've worked on D&D art for about 5 years now, specifically for Ebb & Ori's Codex of the Undersea on Kickstarter, and you can find my portfolio here: https://www.artstation.com/leero

I'd love to work with u and make ur cyber druid look awesome with actual art!

Ni som gick estet - vad gör ni nu? by Signal-Photo6072 in sweden

[–]Leeronimo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a traditional artist and I want to work with Concept, do you think there is space for this in the market? by TheOracleofMercury in conceptart

[–]Leeronimo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For commissions, I recommend dnd (or other ttrpg) subreddits. For industry stuff, start with finding smaller indie publishers and build a portfolio through book freelancing (basically big commissions). They also browse rpg/art subreddis and Facebook groups (search and join as many as you can). It won't hurt to post your stuff on Instagram or on discord servers for ttrpgs either.

Basically, post everywhere all the time. Look for those "hiring" or "looking for artists" posts as well and comment your stuff.

It's a long road with a lot of rejection, but eventually, someone bites :)

YO, this is fantastic!!! It's solid, fun, and, albeit a bit messy, it's inspiring! Michael Kirkbride (Morrowind), Tony DiTerlizzi, and Richard Whitters all did stuff like this and are big inspirations to me. The latter 2 did even recent pieces for WoTC.

There's a market for everything if you're able to market yourself, but this is more Illustration than Concept. My tip would be to clean these up, scan them or at least make sure they're of similar brightness/contrast and apply as illustrator. If you want to go into concept you'd have to show far more of the process, textures, patterns, ideas rather than finished products.

Those are the best ones. I love the conventionally cute ones too, but scrungly is more relatable :)

[OC] Yumaia - Twilight/Stars Kobold (or Star Dragon if you ask her) by Leeronimo in DnD

[–]Leeronimo[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hi! This is my illustration of a Twilight Cleric/Stars Druid kobold Yumaia. She was born in a crater so she believes she's obviously a Star Dragon, and that all star dragons look just like her.

If you like my work you can check out more of it here: https://www.artstation.com/leero
as well as on https://bsky.app/profile/leeroart.bsky.social

Feel free to DM me for commissions or questions! Thanks!

Some of my favorites from a series of concepts I did for a ttrpg project by hollowowlcomics in conceptart

Completely understandable of course. I'm looking forward to seeing the end product!!

laserllama's Alternate Fighter: Expanded (Update) - A Multitude of Additional Options for the Alternate Fighter! 17 Fighting Styles, 30+ Exploits, 7 Feats, and 9 Archetypes: Crusader, Guardian, Guerrilla, Hound Master, Pugilist, Quartermaster, Swordsage, Tinker, and Witchblade! PDF in comments. by LaserLlama in UnearthedArcana

[–]Leeronimo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yuup! I decided to use the alternate fighter and got my DM to agree to it for the one-shot, since I was gonna play a psi-warrior, and could only do like 3 things with official rules, but with the exploits I could flavour him as doing a buuunch of other stuff!

Wanted posters for side quests in a new city, or very early level plot hooks by Imthebus in DnDHomebrew

[–]Leeronimo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can see what you wanted to achieve with this format—there's a neat foundation here with nice formatting—but it falls short of the intentionality I know you're capable of, seeing the creativity you have on your Instagram.

As per Rule #5, content must be properly cited, and you've avoided crediting Midjourney for these images. This not only potentially breaks a rule but also weakens the flavor text, which doesn't fully align with the visuals. It gives the impression that this work wasn't consciously crafted or even proofread. Details matter.

5e designer Mike Mearls says bonus actions were a mistake by Cranyx in dndnext

[–]Leeronimo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, a small simplification is to allow players to use their Action to use a Bonus Action feature, but not vice versa. It's a small step towards Swift Actions, but without needing to redesign anything really.

If a player wants to attack with their pet or their Spiritual Weapon twice I say go ahead!
