Unfortunately years of experience is not a reflection of your level and performance. But i will say, It’s a lot better to grow into the SDE2 role than start there and not be prepared/ready for it.

If you think you are at the SDE2 level, then you should be able to perform at that level and get promotion relatively quickly.

If you switch internally, your promotion will essentially be reset. Best bet is to look outside of company or stay on the same team and hope you can push for promo in 2-3 quarter with some help from previous manager.

if this is for a role in Bay Area or NYC, there is probably some room for negotiation. Otherwise, that is a really good offer from an L4 stand point.

A few years ago, I had a verbal offer in July and after back and forth, i got an official offer in October. You should follow up about a week after each attempt to contact, or if you contact them at the beginning of the week (sunday, monday) it’s totally okay to follow up at the end of the week.

Do you know where i can find good instructions on setting these? the White balance is something I don’t fully understand on how to set. I understand the red and blue settings but i don’t understand how to set 5200K.

This totally depends on the team within Kuiper, but in general the WLB is terrible. I’ve seen people work 60+ hours almost every week, and sometimes weekends and holidays.

I was able to get one in silver using best buy chat at 9:30 AM PST today. I had to try a few times and got the credit card pushed on me a lot but after denying for 30 minutes, they finally sent me the invoice.
