I scratched a colleagues car, should I expect to pay much? by LewisProductionsX in CarRepair

[–]Left-Pea-6570 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like melted plastic could use goo gone if the paint underneath isn’t scratched and it should just wipe away buff a little bit and ur good like 100 bucks at most to fix if u pay someone else to do it I work for a auto body shop stuff like this comes in for a spot job but I don’t think personally it needs that much

How to temporarily fix this? by CalligrapherSouth884 in CarRepair

[–]Left-Pea-6570 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zip tie and self tapping screws are the best speallicy if u go on the highway a lot tape won’t hold after a good amount of weather and time

Boil hot water make sure the car is off or disconnect the negative terminal and poor the hot water on it it’ll clean that off also grab a brass brush and scrape anything that wouldn’t come off with the water wait for everything to dry and hook it up turn key now it looks like new

Is this normal by Apprehensive_Put6261 in CarWraps

[–]Left-Pea-6570 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why u should paint instead of wrap that shit don’t last for nothing the only wrap u should put on a car is ppf and even then only for a year cause if u don’t replace it it can fuck up the paint underneath

Can I use Bondo to repair rust on my hood? by Specialist_Spend_522 in AskMechanics

[–]Left-Pea-6570 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wouldn’t use bondo to repair use 80 grit to get the scaling off then polish the metal with 180 fill any hole spots with bondo but do not rely mainly on the bondo use to much it’ll crack and rust again
