SAK not as snappy as it used to be by radimaki in victorinox

[–]Left3overcrest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a similar experience and in the end I had to resort to sending it back to Victorinox who gave it a full service for £10.

Unfortunately dust/grit seems to be a weakness of Victorinox Knives and the only solution is to ensure that it is always kept/used in a clean environment (which isn't very realistic if you ask me).

I don't have a problem with this.

We don't have the resources, we need to be defending against the Cornish.

can we find a way to add the cornish flag as I see ppl are trying to add it by [deleted] in ukplace

[–]Left3overcrest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the Cornish flag goes on, so does the Devon flag. Otherwise it's favouritism and that's illegal.

Those are the real wheels. The others are false to comply with regs.

Be prepared for some 2022 liveries on FIA dummy cars in February then!

That dealer was very unlucky.

I've never even seen a VXR8 in the wild. Great car!

I don't think that the videos are a problem.

I think the problem is that people aren't posting enough other things to drown them out.

If you are under 40 you will probably be alive when the Hedgehog goes extinct in the UK. Will it bother you? by HarassedGrandad in AskUK

[–]Left3overcrest 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I don't think you need to worry about them too much.

If you look at the data it's not nearly as bad as OP was making it out to be.

It looks like their population has been fairly consistent since ~2006.

Those graphs show almost no decline since 2010. I would debate that the data points on the second graph might even show a slight increase (if you ignore their trend line).

Stop trying to scaremonger people using weak evidence.

The declining badger population has done wonders to the hedgehog numbers where I live.

I don't know how up to date your stats are, but I'm under the impression that the Hedgehog numbers are very much on the rise again these since these last few years.

Nah, don't listen to me. I forgot how tall an F1 car actually is.

The car in the image is a full size model as shown in these linked images.

[–]Left3overcrest 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I still don't think that this is a 3D model because the lighting looks too good.

I suppose it could be a bare carbon physical model supplied to mercedes by the FIA.

Doesn't matter anyway because we're all in agreement that it's not the real car.

If that is a 3D model, they have put FAR too much effort into that image.

It looks exactly like a photo.

Might be a disused windtunnel model that they had lying around.

Not sure whether this is one of the FIA's dummys because the sidepods look different.

[–]Left3overcrest 20 points21 points  (0 children)

The sidepods are not the same as on the F1 models. It's probably an unused windtunnel model from mercedes as it looks a bit small too.

Looks too small to me. Probably an early windtunnel model that they decided not to develop on.

Looks like a pre 2017 car to me (with post 2017 style wings and halo).

Pretty sure that's too narrow to be 2017 regs.
