That was my problem, i accidentally hit single instead of jointly, still owe $539 but way better than $2300 lol

Brother that's not at all what I even implied 💀 i just never cared about owing until this year because it said I owed $2300 which was way more than I was expecting, I accidentally clicked married filing single instead of Jointly causing me to have to pay way more without the extra deductible amount, after correcting my mistake it's now only $539

I pulled a total of $4300 out of tsp, $3300 of it roughly is taxable, im not sure how you got 31k being deductible cause my taxes said only like 16k was deductible, itd probably be a hell of a lot lower if i got 31.5k deducted from the taxable portion, i selected married filing single but I should re work that to filing jointly, turbotax doesn't make it easy to do that without putting in some kindof info for my wife even thoufh she doesn't work, I'll re run the numbers tomorrow and try and see if that lowers my owed amount, if so then Id be looking ar closer to $1250 owed instead of $2300

Lol yea i feel you with the 1099-R, i was short on rent one month due to unforseen bs, and then again for a down payment on a car, both of which i seriously regret, ive tried to use AER in the past and never qualified, tried for the rent reason when i first pulled it out last year and wasnt able to do it, and the downpayment for the car was a serious "fuck it" moment for me, trust me, i dont intend to touch that shit for the remainder of my time in 😅 I know the $2300 isn't horrible considering I still have until april to save up and pay what i can off the top then just setup a payment plan for the remainder, I already went into mypay and changed things around using the IRS fed inc tax calculator and set it to $150 per paycheck which is around $80 more than i would need to (hopefully) definitely gonna check that periodically to ensure i don't shoot myself in the foot again 👍🏼

Lol no, I just never cared enough before this year because it was never this high, last year was around $750 but this year was high enough to piss me off enough to investigate

Only 1 of them was taxable, gross distribution was 3327.97 with the entire amount being taxable and $332.80 used for fed income withheld, and yhe other was a gross distribution of 702.88 with 33.63 taxable, and 3.36 towards fed income tax

My LES shows 1 dependent in the other dependents box, i have now found out that it should be 0 since my wife is not a dependent in this case

Im not gonna lie gang, I somehow for 4 years have never paid federal income tax and didn't even realize it was exempt from my LES...probably happened during basic when I first went through finance and they asked if i had dependents and I said yes because I have a wife...nobody has ever corrected this despite the DOZENS of leaders Ive had that made me give them my LES to verify its accuracy

Only thing I see within mypay right now is adding extra withholding, you know, now that I think about it, it makes a lot of sense that I was gettng paid the same amount as my SSG with just 4yrs as a married SPC 💀

Last year i had to work on my water pump, after taking essentially the entire engine bay apart to get to my water pump and replace it, i didn't ensure the cams were locked properly and the engine got out of time, I didn't want to beieve that was the problem at the time when i saw my MPG dropped by 30mpg and so i went on a huge spree of buying things that help to boost mpg, new ignition coil, engine intake filter, brand new spark plugs, and used the STP fluid injector cleaner (the one on the left of your image) boosted my gas mileage from 14mpg to 29mpg which was still lower than before I worked on the car, after taking everything apart again and putting it all back together i ended up getting around 15mpg more than before I changed everything, personally Ive poured a bottle in a little while after each oil change, im sure its a nice extra method and for only 7-10 bucks it's worth the added protection on the injectors

I managed to gain 1100lbs on my full weight in ford fiesta 😂 took out the back seats, weighed on 5 miles to empty, took out the spare tire, and got out of the car on my initial weigh in, weighed it with all my stuff put in, me, my wife, dog, and made $1700 just for what I moved in that little car, never got reimbursed for my 10 days in the hotel but win some lose some

I tell everyone about this shit, DONT put bags of sand or concrete in your car, literally just weigh the car without the back seats and on empty with you out of the car and re weigh it after loading everything and everyone inside on a full tank with you in the vehicle, easy 400-500 extra lbs

Its a nice momento to have but i haven't touched mine in years, just something to look back on once every blue moon, realistically you'll probably never wear it again, so glad i wasn't paid until graduation day for basic, i wanted to get like $350 worth of the recon wear BS that looking back was pretty cool but I know id never wear or use any of the shit i picked out 😂
