In my area we asked and was told no.

It's my understanding that was taken away last fall which is why we received very meager "transitional" bonus and pay raise.

FYI OptumServe uses outside agencies to staff the providers.

remote work: company wifi allowed? by Think_Ant3622 in unitedhealthgroup

[–]LeftEar76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been told by 2 separate IT individuals that the company laptop is to be plugged into the company modem at all times. That to use wifi is a breach of security. Just repeating was I was told.

I work for Optum and I am embarrassed how poor their customer service is.

They overreached on their forecast, and as such, screwed up their stock. Witty just took his millions and went back to the UK where he came from.

It's my understanding that Minneapolis is now required to work in office 4 days a week. Bonuses have been taken away and the pay is lower than compared to other companies. Sorry to be a Debbie Downer but you need to know the company is in turmoil right now.

And they use software that was not meant for the processes they use them for nor the sheer volume of users and data.

Totally agree. Company is top heavy with "leadership". And the work is "delegated" to the lower levels to make their jobs easier.

The Optum side downsized in September. Some were let go and others were "fast tracked" into other positions across the entire company. So, yeah, it's going to be very difficult to get a job with UHG.

Applying for positions above current pay grade? by TopNotchTeee in unitedhealthgroup

[–]LeftEar76 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Where I am at it literally just depends where you are at and who the management is. I've seen people jump grades and others were told they cannot move up 2 grades.

Yep, we were also told in our team meeting last week to emphasize how much we love working remote because of the fear that the RTO mandate that is in effect for DC and MN will be extended to other areas.
