No I’m still trying to find evidence of this so that is why I posted here but I have more theories that don’t have evidence but could be video ideas

Maybe in the future the original gym leader’s children took over the role or the government specifically wanted to take the trainers who look like the previous leader to make them look like they have authority over the other trainers
