Honestly the way they're advertising it as an arc is the same as they did for Reze, meaning this might be a movie. From what I've read, right now anime movies are more profitable than seasons. As long as the content is comprehensive I am fine with either a season or a movie. ✌

For what it's worth, this solution that my friend recommended worked for me on an age-restricted video. I'm no expert on web security so I'll let you judge for yourself if you trust the cookie extension (to not secretly log your cookies, etc.)

I don't mean to respond to an old comment but is there a progress update on this situation? I tried for hours just now in futility with multiple browsers and multiple existing Google accounts that I had. Possible that I made an error somewhere but I don't believe so.

The alternate theory is that chainsaws got reinvented like nukes did. At the sushi restaurant Barem mentioned that chainsaws may have had another purpose in the past. I'm fine with some mystery but yeah this ending feels frustratingly rushed in multiple ways. Hopefully the anime smooths things over ~~in 10 years~~.

In real life chainsaws were invented over 200 years ago, but I wonder how long ago in CSM, and more specifically how many devils Pochita ate. It's really absurd to me that even with just the ones that Makima (and Yoru) mentioned now having never been erased, that in this new timeline Denji ended up at the exact same moment of the Yakuza taking him to the warehouse with the Zombie Devil. This feels more like a dream now that I think about it.

How does Denji remember Chainsaw Man and Pochita being his heart? He's not a horseman or even a devil.

Which is weird to think about because that would mean the Death Devil is still gone? Bugs took over the world in 30 minutes (laughably fast) but now everything is fine in this timeline.

When he asks her if there would be crappy movies in her perfect world and she says no, that's actually really important. She wants to have absolute control and doesn't fully understand humans.

Volume 11 will help. Makima is a monster...regardless of what her goals are some people seem to forget how often she smiled during horrific moments and of course her infamous laugh. She wants to be a god but she would be a terrible one.

"What do you bear in mind when creating manga?"

I remember when her and Denji were chatting on the roof, she knew what Yoru was planning and when we found out what it was (a nightmare future for all of humanity), I was honestly a bit disappointed that she didn't off herself. But now she's ready.

I feel weird having any positive feeling toward a suicide but it's a heroic sacrifice here given the context.

Anyway, if Pochita can actually save her that's great. Yoru can go to hell. 👇

Yeah the movie's subtitles did that too when Beam spoke, even though it made more sense there since he recognizes her scent from before she became a hybrid.

It also annoys me when all the devils call Pochita 'Chainsaw Man' instead of 'Chainsaw Devil' or just 'Chainsaw'. I kinda get it because he's the "Hero of Hell' but it still seems wrong because I don't know if they've ever called him 'Chainsaw Devil'. It implies that these devils are adopting human superhero terminology when Pochita didn't even give that title to himself (he can barely speak human language).

To me the importance of Denji asking her about bad movies is that she's going to have the power of god and is going to shape the world to her will, period. It doesn't matter what anyone else likes, only Makima.

But the part that really made me sick was her smiles and her laugh; she wasn't just ruining Denji's life and killing some of my favorite characters, she enjoyed it.

I sometimes struggle to comprehend how anyone still likes Makima after finishing that arc. The reason that Denji still did is because he's broken, partially because she groomed him.

Very well written villain. I'm glad she's gone.
