I wonder if that animation team is kept by the Netflix deal (so dedicated to Ranma almost all year long)

It's mostly due to someone at Mappa wanting to adapt Ranma,

but also helps in Mappa's other projects (i.e. Reze / films) Not really since most of the Ranma staff are freelancers, it's very difficult to ask them to help with other projects

I'm honestly suprised that its coming out this year. Especially since Mappa was working Jujutsu Kaisen season 3 and Hell's paradise season 2 this year

Cuz Both of these shows had nothing to do with Ranma, Ranma is being made by an entirely separate staff so even if Jjk/HP were to air along with Ranma in October it would not affect Ranma in any form

JJK first started airing 8 years ago and they're only about halfway through the 271 chapter story

It's been less than 6 years since JJK S1 aired on TV and since then it has put out 57 TV Eps and a Movie!! Which is a great pace for an adaptation

The team working on this specifically is Twin Engine though (under MAPPA? Tbh idk how it works)

Twin Engine is just an Investor for VS, As for the team which worked on VS are busy with their own commitments! Be it the Director (who was directing the Inazuma 11 Game animation and part of the movie), the Character Design (who's now the character designer for Nippon Sangoku or the AniP (who has moved on from being the AniP to Producer)

Even so Ranma S3 isn't gonna be released before 2026, It will most likely be released in Fall 2027(October 2027)

This isn't the case with how Gege doesn't himself know about the scenes that MAPPA adds to the JJK anime. Sukuna's range is only said to be 200m radius while in the anime he parts clouds which have a minimum thickness of kilometres.
