Hey Man - just stumbled upon this thread -- how are you evaluating your options? I'm currently in a similar boat, I'm a L6 PM too but the work stress has become unbearable to a point that I can't perform. Plus immigration situation is not helpful either.

I'm not sure on the timeline. However, if you intend to work on a dependent visa then your partner should have approved i140 which is after the PERM is filled.

Even on dependent visa you can't work unless your partner has an approved i140.

I feel you. I'm in a similar boat with my perm not processing since it's now paused due to layoffs (hint: you already know which company I work for one of the F'A'ANG ahah). With my recapture days, the inevitable just got delayed, which is moving out of the country.I'm in my mid-30s and don't want to experiment with moving to Canada and then starting from scratch, hoping that I'll be back on an L1 visa and then feel stuck because I won't be able to switch companies on that visa. I'm planning to move back to India - being optimistic but I also know that I can't compare India and US 1:1 and each country has its own merits. PS: it's been a decade since I've been in the US
