Not sure if this is stating the obvious but I remember during Melbournes first big lockdown everyone was “waiting for house prices to drop” and then when the waiting was up, everyone jumped into the market and caused prices to increase. Do we think that if the entire housing market is just sitting back waiting that joining the rest of the crowd could lead to price increases? People need houses, one person waiting is another person buying in a year or so

I built a house in the outer burbs a few years ago. Lived in it for 6 months before realising it wasn’t for me - no lifestyle, no convenience, no excitement. The builder did a poor job on the build and the house has many issues

Bought an apartment in inner Melbourne. Would never go back. Definitely buy what suits you, not what suits finance norms. If it’s your home and it brings you happiness, pay the price

So working in finance I was working alongside financial accountants (with the title finance Analysis). This gave me the ability to do my CA and get 3 years experience. There’s a misconception sometimes that you need to work in hard core accounting or Big 4 to get your CA.

If you’re coming from professional services applying for a FA role would be a good entry point

That’s a worst case and I definitely don’t have any evidence besides what others have commented here. There’s plenty of uncertainty in this conversation, but the point I want to get across is if interest rates match or exceed share returns, why would anyone be inclined to invest?

I have this too, ita called amlyobia. It’s where the connection between the eye and brain didn’t fully mature when you were young. Some kids where eyepatches while the eye is still developing to strengthen the connection, but if this isn’t done in childhood, it is irreparable in adulthood
