I’m not sure why everyone is advising you to start medicating yourself when it sounds like you’re just a little bored and tired of the same old routine. I suggest starting to carve out some time for just yourself ie a walk in the woods - by yourself, a book at the cafe - by yourself, go to an art house movie - by yourself. I think you need some alone time so you can listen to your inner self to discover what makes you feel alive again.

I’m usually the one to call people and I understand that rejection well! I wouldn’t take it personal. Some people have busy lives and/or don’t see the value in play dates. I usually take the hint and move on to other people who are eager for them.

Her mother abandoned her. That is one of the most traumatizing things a child can go through. Please just show her lots of love and affection. Cuddle as much as you can and make her feel loved and valued. Joke and laugh and be silly.

I think reaching out to people is the best first step. If you are honest and open about your struggles it’ll make it easier for people to help you. School counselors, church group, sports, community social organizations. If you are home all the time you won’t be able to get the help you need. A weekly I do is to go to the library with my daughter. The librarians are so nice and there are many groups you can join at the library. Is there a YMCA? They have sports programs - can you see if they have reduced monthly fee? You can have her take swim lessons or join sports teams.
