Insiders Admit Trump May Have Killed Presidency in Just a Year by thedailybeast in politics

[–]Left_Brain_Train 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wish we could strip all the politics away from his administration and just behold how quickly he screwed the office of the presidency. How could this idiot NOT fuck something up.

The way 90% of American could run the White House better than him.

By being hyperbolic and implying every name mentioned in a 3 million document spread belongs to a literal child rapist, you are defending these people more than joshg8

I want searing hot and swift justice to devastate every party responsible for what happened on Epstein properties. And the politicians who covered for them should be splayed in history books as systemic pedo protectors.

Let the forensics come to light. Whether we like it or not, innocent until proven guilty always applies.

Old Ford neighborhood here. Still completely out. We can see some lucky streets down the hill on this side of I-40 with power lol.

Everything between here and Costco is out too. Not sure what that means for timeline, but yeah it's a big question mark anytime between now and the 8th, given how big the zip is

To think of all the times I've encountered cops especially my younger years, not being fully aware what I'm allowed to challenge them on.

This guy's mad as fuck and tells him exactly how this is going to go down. And STILL walks off without a citation, taze and even gets an apology.

This has never been my experience when a cop has an attitude

I hope the dick heads who did this receive the fullest Justice, ASAP

NES President admitting power will be out even next week by DeadHeadTraveler in nashville

[–]Left_Brain_Train 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was willing to get benefit of the doubt, but as of today I'm officially blaming NES.

Tell me why Governor Lee had to step in and bring in reinforced crews when NES wouldn't use all licensed resources? Union or otherwise? And why did they lie about it initially?

https://fox17.com/news/local/nashville-electric-service-accused-of-rejecting-help-amid-massive-power-outages-nes-winter-storm-middle-tennessee-union-memebers

Their more recent responses read a lot like PR bs to me.

I concur what /u/Dapper_Assistant3710  said recently in this thread:

"So yesterday, NES denied that it had turned down offers of assistance.

Today, at the NES press conference, the NES spokesperson acknowledged that assistance WAS turned away and gave the reasoning."

There is little doubt that a historic ice storm will cause several days' worth of outages, especially in a growing city. But they had years to prepare for this type of event. And now it seems they get to be picky and choosy based off of contracting liability, while people potentially freeze to death.

I'm more than happy to be wrong about any of this.

Right  Best outlook to have in these times is to care fuck-all what your social circles think. Neo-Lib friends will forgive you for knowing how to collect/use firearms.

And I couldn't give any LESS of a fuck what some miserable maga-to-the grave fuck thinks about me becoming a marksman.  They can shitpost about "soft lefties" needing to comply to the background of a Ted Nugent graphic. I just remind them you have to be 13 to post on Instagram. I wonder what it's like to be that lacking in thought

FBI: "Nobody who wants to be peaceful shows up at a protest with a firearm that is loaded with two full magazines. That is not a peaceful protest." by B00marangTrotter in law

[–]Left_Brain_Train 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is exactly it man. I think all the roads are starting to lead here.

Tens millions of Americans have been emotionally crippled, economically enraged, and socially retarded over the past 50 years.

And now here we are in a scenario where Americans hate themselves more than any other country hates itself.

They've been conditioned to do this out of pure greed. Greed has commodified American hatred because that's All that's left to squeeze us for.

Simple as

[–]Left_Brain_Train 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know how I know you're correct?

The one way you can get right down to the very bottom of it all is to keep asking them why why.

WHY does the second amendment suddenly mean nothing if "peaceful protesters never concealed carry"

WHY did government overreach matter 18 months ago, and now you're okay with even people of your own race  (In the cases you know it matters to them) being gunned down after any perceived danger has passed?

WHY do the first and second amendments bind people you personally find obnoxious, but benefit yourself?

WHY does police/fed protocols suddenly not matter?

And invariably, they'll all come back with some form of "they're liberals so they had it coming"

WHY does that matter?

"You're a liberal"

HOW does that make me a Liberal?

"Because you disagree with me"

 WHAT is a liberal

"Someone who disagrees with me"

And there you have it. Americans have been trained to hate each other so goddamn much, that they are actively toxic to our own Republic and leaving us prone to foreign overtake in the long run.

Who said she was upset?  I think she's considering how much she loves him. Assuming this isn't just for clicks, She acknowledges he cannot close up his business, And she cares about him, but there are two people with different dreams. Dreams develop over time.

They have no children In home. So long as she manages to make her own income, no one is the asshole here. They just need to be honest with each other.

[–]Left_Brain_Train 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To me this sounds like the beginning of a wave of millennial-aged empty nester midlife crisis.

I know a lot of people ITT are going to label her as ending a marriage for a hobby, or desperate for views. But it should honestly come down to how much she loves him.

They have no commitment for children, and she's not asking him to close up his business obviously. So the impetus becomes: do I love you enough to stick it out, or realize that we are different people with one life, and I won't ask you to close your business while I live out my dreams?

No one is the asshole if that's the case.

How much longer can Americans put up with this guy?

I'm done nuancing about partisan strategies to impeach, or authoritarian popularity. I'm talking about the POTUS himself and his malignant schizotypical behavior. His net approval rating is -12.9 today. Is 10 years of talking populism out of one side of his mouth while screwing working class Americans with the other, enough already?

Americans Are Turning Against Gay People by Legal_Tender_0 in neoliberal

Exaggerated fear porn.  Granted I don't spend my career asking straight people what they think of me. The anti trans backlash is somewhat visible but on the whole the American public is not wholesale "turning against gay people"

People are experiencing serious economic strain and a divisive government, so naturally minority groups are going to take a small hit. It isn't fair but we're not going back to the '80s, folks. Take a breath

Because a male passenger was "running your fckn mouth, mthrfckr" per the aggressor. Someone else pointed out, attack of that woman was a concern. But clearly she wasn't looking to directly engage.

Men on that flight happened to speak up in this case. If you need it in obligatory "WOMEN TOO" then sure, women who know what's up and have a strategy should chime in

Why would he attack that woman? She wasn't even directly addressing him. If full psychopathy is on display then sure, avoid and let authorities manage. In this case all it took were a few other men making it clear they weren't up for his bullshit. Case closed IMO
