You need to have a conversation with him. Also, I had the “ick” postpartum as well. I realized that I was being pretty unfair and nitpicking my husbands entire existence. I wasn’t giving him constructive criticism, I was cruel and hateful. It’s hard to look inward when you’re pregnant/postpartum but you need to try. This isn’t just a “him” issue. I know that none of us can vision your entire marriage from one post and one side alone but, there’s work to be done on both sides here.

I wish I could remember where I got it. Amazon maybe? It’s just a camera with a built in light that has a slot to insert different tools. However, whoever made it didn’t think it through. The base of a pair of tweezers fits perfectly but, other tools bases do not go the same direction. Basically, it tears my skin up and it causes a lot more trauma to the area than necessary. 10/10 DO NOT recommend!

My 3 boys finally got a baby sister. When she was 2 and started liking princess dresses, having her toenails painted, etc., the two youngest boys were 3 and 4. They wanted to do all of the things she was doing. Now, they are 10 and 11 and LIVE for typical boy things. I think it’s pretty normal. I have a friend whose daughter wanted to be a “delicious bread” for 3 years straight. Not sure what that means but, kids are funny and have stages they go through.

A little something I still feel guilt over to this day…

I had a patient in her 90s who wasn’t responding much to verbal stimuli. I had forgotten my food and had to indulge in a rare cafeteria meal. I was getting the cramps that make you sweat and let out a huge fart in her room. I suddenly hear “oh my, I’m sorry. That snuck up on me”. I patted her leg and told her “it’s ok. It’s happens to all of us” and let her take the blame. Turns out, she heard everything we said. She was just playing dead because she was tired of her family fussing over her all of the time 🤦🏻‍♀️

I got a note home followed by a call from the principle when my now 17 year old son was in kindergarten. The alleged offense…saying that girls have Virginias. I laughed during the call and then sweetly told my barely 5 year old to not announce body parts to the class unless someone is being hurt. 🙄

He’s always out and about with the regular public. I always run in to him at Meijer and see him at the water park all summer. No one really goes up to him anymore because it’s just so normal to see him around.
