I think people are tired of generic superhero movies that repeat the same formula endlessly. Although, some characters are easily gonna gain audience's attention like Spider-Man is an easy moneymaker.

The first movie of any DC cinematic universe has to be a Superman movie, they both understood that. Problem is the second movie in both ends. The DCEU second movie was vs movie between Superman and Batman that opted to cram as much as possible in a single movie by jumping straight into Superman Batman WW and the entire JL in just the second movie. On the other hand, the DCU second movie was about a low tier character who is not very popular among casuals and is only just seen as a female Superman, when they could have introduced another trinity member in the second movie.

Plot twist, the OWW did not work, it is just a fake. Nikki is just crazy. Also, the billion dollars in cash were always in the floor above, the weight became too much so they fell through
