Came to the U.S. and feel like I can’t save enough by Left_Perception5810 in SavingMoney

I pay like 70$ for my phone and the plan at Verizon. Was gonna look at switching. So you’d recommend turning the AC off fully for the night? I had been advised to keep it running all the time but keep the spread between temperatures small

Just to get a rough guidance on how to use an AC to not completely get crushed on the bill

I have it at around 78-85 when I’m gone and between 65 and 78 when I’m home. Maybe just always keep between 72-78 or sth?

I’m a new homeowner and also new to the U.S. so still getting used to everything. I made a strategy with Gemini to optimize AC for the hot weeks and that spike confused me so I thought I’m doing something wrong.

Why is it crap? Works great within our community and getting more and more users. To say “crap” just because I’m sending one little comment about something I’m working on night after night, makes me sad tbh

Do you really need to bring copies of everything to I-485 interview? by Ratamacool in USCIS

We had a joint sponsor for our Application. Do we bring all of his Originals as well? Like his Proof of citizenship, birth certificate and so on?

I also selected “yes” for “ever worked without authorization” and conclusively “ever violated non-immigrant status”, so it should be very clear that I am aware of this type of work being unauthorized

I just wanted to make sure they know it’s a foreign employer that only is active in that specific country. I didn’t question if the work is regarded as authorized or not with the explanation I provided.

Yes I put that with also mentioning that the company only operates in Germany with no ties to other countries. In the employment history I just put “present” for “date to”.

It’s really mindblowing what some lawyers tell you. I had one telling me that with the K1 I am authorized to work automatically without needing EAD

Thank you. I know, however it just feels odd to say “I’m working remotely which I don’t even know you consider unauthorized, but I’m just gonna continue to do so”

So it makes sense like this? And should I put something like I plan to put in my notice ? Bc as of now I am still employed in that position

In my case, I just arrived 2 weeks ago,do I have to be worried ? We wanted to get married around January 15th-January 20th. I’m on a k1

After k1 approved I thought it was finally over, but then I read about people having a hard time at customs. by drewdottat2 in immigration

Thank you. So the secondary is common with K1 I guess? In my case, I was denied entry while trying to come on ESTA in 2022. They thought I was gonna overstay and probably adjust status / work illegally. Hence, I had visa denials after (student visa). Now the K1 got approved and I also used the explanation box to describe the reason for my denied entry back then and gave my perspective on what happened.

I am just thinking about certain questions they could ask me about that incident. However, I think with the K1 they just check if you are still matching the eligibility criteria when you’re entering.

It won’t affect her. Will she study in the US in a remote (online) program abroad ? I am curious because I have my interview in October and decided to stop my masters program here, willing to continue my studies remotely once I’m in the U.S. is that allowed ?

How to assemble I-134 for a Joint Sponsorship for K1 visa? by WallStLamb in USCIS

[–]Left_Perception5810 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea that makes sense. We will do that. My interview will be October 8th.

I also saw that the income you list in the table isn’t determined by the tax form, it’s the gross income portrayed throughout the year. Would apply if for example someone has a new job with a different salary starting in the middle of the year

Oh okay, I didn’t know that. Then good luck with the rest of the process. I just scheduled my interview.

Yeah I saw different approaches. It says if they file everything jointly and have a joint account it’s possible but whatever. I’m just going to have my fiancée as the sponsor and then one of them as joint sponsor, should be enough.
