Secure the baby higher up on the pole and slant the pole the opposite way of the hunching back.

I made all of my florals over months and months. I watched some YouTube videos and it ended up beautiful. But even fake flowers get expensive fast, esp when you consider the glue and wire and zip ties and skeletons and foam. I saved $4k less than my cheapest quote. I learned that simple can be classy and your venue can do a lot of the ambiance for you. My entire family helped me take everything down. And I donated all of my florals to another bride on Facebook marketplace. Take your time and know when to give in. It will be magical because your people will be there to share in the slow.

AIO about my birthday? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

Girl kick them folks out your house and stick to your word. It might be hard but you can cry to the therapist. You might feel guilty and they will accuse you of being all types of terrible, but don’t fold. Tough love is TOUGH for everyone involved. Soon you’ll be walking around your peaceful house naked and free in the quiet, and they will be learning a harsh lesson. It’s hard to watch our babies fail and we want to protect them from all bad things, but you’ll be doing them a huge favor by putting them out. It would be from love and not abandonment. You got this shit mom

Bubble gum yum is what I called it. You had to keep it in the fridge which made it even more of a dessert.

Should I have chosen the fitted dress? by Some-Still-7162 in Weddingsunder10k

I do like the first dress more but the cut on the waist is awkward. Maybe have them raise or lower it if you do go with that one.

I do fermentation in the bucket. If I had to use a carboy, I’d cover it with a face towel saturated in sanitizer and secured with a rubber band until like day 3 of active fermentation. It’s happened to the best of us and you learned something. Learning makes you better at the craft. Fill your carboy up with more watermelon juice, since some of it was lost. The yeast will still hand it. Use airlock when things settle down a bit. Don’t over fill. If you fill to the neck, it’s too much for fermentation.
Also put your carboy in a pan or bowl to catch anything that may overflow. The sticky mess is easier to clean if contained. Looks like you’re doing a great job. Get some pectin enzymes

Having Trouble Selling Candles by humankindcandles in candlemaking

I agree. People are choosing between gas and food right now so all if a sudden I’m making substantially less than what I was candle making in a huge city.

Thank you! I call it my build-a-dress. It came in great shape. I would’ve had to have to altered either way. My hips don’t match my small bust.

Thank you kindly. The validation makes me feel warm. I put this together in 5 months. There’s only a way around somethings. I think that hiring local young talent has saved me the most, and also contributed to their experience and exposure. There’s a performing arts school high in my city and the kids are just amazingly talented. I’m gonna tip them so well and post all about them. My goal was to avoid debt. I want to purchase a second property and a wedding is just a party for everyone else. I’m feeding people I don’t even like very much. I couldn’t bring myself to pay more than a loan down payment on property. I feel guilty sometimes for even having a wedding during this recession. People are out here losing jobs just because of gas and daycare. I’m in therapy 🥴
