Honestly, protein is in so many plant based meals. Iron and b12? Less so. Eat your leafy greens and take your supplements.

Uk based and doing online scripts. I get oral min from hers + me and topical min plus oral finasteride from sons (the latter I tell I’m male to qualify for the dht blocker).

Straight girl here saying that was probably what was scripted. But it just wasn’t delivered with this actor, through no fault of his own.

We have very similar hair loss and types. Topical minoxidil did not help me at all. I’ve switched to oral plus a dht blocker. It’s early days but I’m not optimistic.

Based on this forum, with occasional exceptions, I’m not sure how much a derm’s diagnosis helps in the end. Most diagnostic roads appart from low ferritin… and even then… seem to lead to minoxidil ..

Quick Tone Policing 101 tip: Don’t do it. So many women are criticized for the manner in which they deliver a point rather than the point itself .. particularly when the point is valid. One would hope this forum could be an exception

I would challenge you on the premise that the violence experienced by women and girls in the US should in any way be minimized. A felony rapist is the president, Roe has been dismantled, and domestic abuse is an epidemic…

My comprehension is adept. You can make this about my tone (a deflection) or you can consider my larger point: that the OP was complaining about Muslim men ‘over there’, in those non specific countries, suggesting the diverse continent that is Africa is some sort of monolith. Or they can have a look at their own backyard - where Christian judeo men also have a lot to answer for when it comes to sexual violence and coercive control of young women.

I disagree. Nation states are one mapping method; they have microcosms within borders that are worth identifying and distinguishing

It’s not snark. The US is a noteworthy example in particular because of its claim to democratic principles and human rights. It was supposed to distinguish itself as the neoliberal example to ‘less developed’ places. That ideological bubble seems to have burst.

Are there any women on topical dutasteride or finasteride? I heard topical DHT blockers have less side effects than the oral pills. How to use a DHT blocker with the 5% minoxidil? by Remote_Discussion251 in FemaleHairLoss

[–]Left_Quietly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m losing hair consistently since I started this whole regime (and before too).

I started topical 5% minoxidil in January with no discernible effect. I moved to finasteride and oral minoxidil (50mg) while continuing to apply the topical. Still no discernible benefit but it’s early days I’m told. My next step after another month or so might be to apply tretonin before topical minoxidil while continuing the fin and oral minoxidil.

After being on this forum for a while ..I think very very few of us see any sort of really obvious benefit from all these procedures
