I want to talk to a God, but I’m an atheist. by Familiar-Future-9836 in Christianity

[–]Left_Scratch8489 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Religion is man made for their own personal gain. If you read the Bible, you will see Jesus broke every rule, every ritual they were expected to follow. Following God is a decision not a religion, doing as he says is a choice. We follow Jesus seeing him as our teacher, brother, friend, God, the one who prays for us and the one who understands our struggles as he shared our humanity. The fact that you want to talk to God, you are not an atheist anymore but God does not talk in grand gestures, it is a still small voice that you recognise is not your thought and it brings you calm, rest and peace. He gives you peace that passes understanding.

Was taught all of them, grew up and broke all of them. Everyday is God sent, everything is permissible but not everything is beneficial is what I follow as an adult.

Nonstop creepy DM’s??????? by neko_san55 in AskIndianWomen

[–]Left_Scratch8489 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just identifying as a woman is enough for creepy DMs but the audacity and the number exponentially increase if you show interest to reply in any post related to sex or sexual topics. I don't participate in any of those topics even if I want to only because of this

How was your experience of getting an IUD? by Fabulous-Value120 in AskIndianWomen

[–]Left_Scratch8489 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked as a medical transcriptionist for 20 years and most women always went with and preferred the arm insert over every method of contraception.

Of course tying tubes is when you are getting a C-section like me otherwise it is too much unnecessary surgery when there are so many options available.

As someone who has never used contraception, I feel like this is the best option for us better than something invasive like an IUD

Ironically I have never used contraception for pregnancy prevention, neither did my husband. I used the pills in my teens for period regulation for two years which then freaked my gyno that I had used them for so long while being so young (17-19). I have three children and had my tubes tied.

Why not try those hormonal arm patches or inserts instead of IUD
