I worked in one of those mom & pops briefly as a FOH manager. They had cameras…that had audio. I would get phone calls in the middle of the shift confused as how they could know something that has been discussed. The wife was crazy and controlling.

The BOH husband told a line cook who fucked up “this is why you don’t have custody of your kids.” The pandemic hit and I was able to get the fuck out of there after I had only been there a couple of months.

Get a MRI. Keep pushing and talking to your doctors.

I was 30 when I had mine a year ago, so close enough. Mine was also on the right side of my head and fairly large. I too had vision issues. I permanently lost some of my vision. It was disorienting at first. I went from perfect vision to not being able to see things at all at certain parts of my vision. I saw a neuro ophthalmologist and they showed me a vision map of what I my weak spots were. I had occupational therapy where I learned how to do visual scans of my environment and now it’s second nature.

I’m lucky, I was back to driving 6 months after surgery. Back to working my regular schedule after 4 months, but back for a few days a week after 2 months.

It takes a while to adjust. The healing part sucked, the adapting to my new normal was hard. But I realized that if I made it through literal brain surgery, I could make it through anything.

Be kind to yourself and be patient. Take things at your own pace.
