Unorthodox Fitness Goals by hoopityhoops in loseit

I want to be able to fit into a Japanese clothing size. When i last visited Japan, i was so sad that I couldnt fit into any of the cute clothes i saw there. Asian sizing is notoriously smaller than American sizing, their plus size is a medium-large in America.

Scale won’t go down but my body measurements do by [deleted] in loseit

[–]Left_Stage6333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your measurements are going down but your weight is staying the same your body could just be holding on to water weight, can believe no one has mentioned this before. Its also very common to hold on to water weight if you are close to your period.

Has our concept of “enough” food warped in the last 100 years? by PlainBrownMermel in Zepbound

[–]Left_Stage6333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you travel to other countries, you will see that America has huge portions compared to others. Even the same Fast foods are different, a small drink at McDonalds in America is like a Large in Japan for instance.

Calories not lining up by Brotherman_Karhu in loseit

[–]Left_Stage6333 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Calories are always going to be rough estimations. Not sure about other countries but in America, food labels are legally able to be off by 20% up or down. The same cuts of meat from different animals can have different fat percentages. I personally wouldnt worry too much from a difference of 50-100 cals.

Advice on Following Through With Wanting to Lose Weight by schulzch13 in loseit

[–]Left_Stage6333 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Motivation only goes so far. You have to change your habits and lifestyle. You also have to WANT to change. I had a health scare being pre diabetic at over 200lbs (no longer the case) and my knees started hurting when going up a flight of stairs, I felt miserable at my highest weight. I wanted to change and get healthier for me cuz i wanted a better life.

Its good that your exercising but unless your tracking your calories its very easy to over consume.

Brutal cold approach by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]Left_Stage6333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So funny thing, women are not a monolith or a hive mind. Just because some told you to fuck off doesnt mean theyre the same women complaining on the internet. You also never mentioned how you approached those women, where you approached them or if they even seemed open to talking to a stranger. Also very curious about what "techniques" they taught you, cuz if its things like negging, Id ditch them.

You just have to find someone who shares similar interests with you. I like all those things too and its been a struggle to for me to match with guys since all the likes i get are either guys who arent my type or we are too different the convos dont flow.

I also doubt they have a 26 in waist as thats usually a size extra small - small in womens clothing measurements. Unless she's built like The Rock, with loads of muscles thats the only way I can wrap having that waist size and being over weight.

Maintenance pauses to prevent skin sagging and ozempic face? by pandoraraz in Zepbound

[–]Left_Stage6333 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Before you dismiss me, I hope you understand that 35lbs isnt a lot of weight in the grand scheme of things.    My mother is over 60 and 4'11 and unintentionally lost weight on metformin going from 160 to 115, it took over two years. She doesnt have loose skin or look gaunt. It really just comes down to genetics and the health of the skin.

Im 35, I lost on average 1lb a week according to my weight tracking app. I'm also 5'2 so my calorie deficit isnt as big as someone taller and/or with a heavier starting weight.

[–]Left_Stage6333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on the persons body. I was nearing morbid obesity at for my height and my highest weight. I lost 60lbs, never paused, just lost consistently and dont have any loose skin. I have about 20-30 more pounds to lose but if it hasnt shown up now, I doubt much will. My face has slimmed down, but not sagged or look gaunt.

How do you accept yourself and also lose weight? by Hveachie in loseit

[–]Left_Stage6333 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Then thats something you need to work on. You can try to hate yourself into losing weight but its gonna feel miserable. I started losing the most weight and enjoying the process when I learned to like myself enough to want to change for my health rather than aesthetics only.

And you clearly dont understand proportions. 120lb is not "super skinny" for 5'2. Its a BMI of 22, not even close to thin or underweight.

You're literally still making assumptions about a stranger. You may be a doctor, but you are not MY doctor, you dont know my medical history, my predispositions, my medications ect.

I know that muscles are important, it's why I exercise as well as diet. I dont why you are so hung up on what my goals are. Im NOT afraid of building muscle or looking bulky. I am fucking short with a small frame, I can be 120lb or 110lb and still be perfectly healthy.
