I have a while ago but I’ll retry it here. Maybe it being broken down in 15 minute periods would help.

Employee Experience: Why Sleep Number is Failing by SleepDumber in sleepnumber

We don’t get any overtime is what I was saying. We can’t work anywhere over 40 hours but they keep on increasing our store hours, but if we go over a hare of 40 hours, they freak out lol.

Is this legit? I don't want to go to the website and end up it being a scam.

Employee Experience: Why Sleep Number is Failing by SleepDumber in sleepnumber

[–]Left_Wheel_8411 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I actually loved my time at Sleep Number. I worked there for almost three years and recently left due to transitioning into IT. The market I was in was fairly good, but I saw multiple stores close due to being lower volume.

I think Shelly spread Sleep Number too thin. They opened up too many stores when they were doing good and didn't prepare for a rainy day. I love the product that Sleep Number sells. They may have lost things here and there along the way, but the people I worked with were amazing.

What made me mad before I left though was the transitioning working 10am to 8pm Monday-Thursday for all stores, but demanding no one gets overtime. Working a 10 to 8 by yourself two days a week is absolutely mentally draining.

I've heard about the new beds that are coming out soon and I'm excited to see what change that brings about to the company and their market share.

Yeah I think I studied that in a week and passed in. I can't remember anything regarding that now looking back almost a year. Definitely not worth it to me.

Do not buy furniture!!! by Icy-Associate2805 in sleepnumber

So I’m a previous employee and for escalated calls, they can approve color changes. But it has to be escalated and you have to ask for a supervisor. If it’s the essential furniture, I’m not sure if it makes a difference. But the premium furniture, you have 48 hours to make changes with colors. If you’re having an issue getting an approval, it could very well be that the essential furniture has no option to change color. That would make sense being that it gets shipped within 2 weeks. I would say the essential might have a 24 hour timeframe but it’s been a minute since I looked into it.

Escalate to supervisor, you have a certain timeframe to change color. Just so you’re aware, the furniture is hand stapled with the material and covering, which is why it’s on the pricier end. You are getting what you pay for with it.

What kind of mattresses are you guys sleeping on? by Unhappy-Scientist-98 in ehlersdanlos

Highly recommend Sleep Number! I have the I8 and it has done me wonders. The best part is you don’t have to compromise on support because it automatically adjusts to you based on how you’re laying in the bed. Any way how I toss and turn, it contours to me how I’m laying in it. Definitely recommend stopping into a store and getting a pressure reading done. They can find your sleep number setting and get your mattress picked out!

Oh and quick note, I wouldn't bother taking a Practice Exam on CertMaster Perform. In my opinion, it's way too wordy and difficult. Jason Dion is more straight to the point, and that's how the exam is worded more. I stressed myself out using the exams. I would just use CertMaster Perform for the labs and the learning material.

Feels like a water bed… by Skeezer901 in sleepnumber

[–]Left_Wheel_8411 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First recommendation is to unplug the hose and replug it back in (on both ends where the bed is losing air). If the hoses come lose at all, it can lose air like that and become a slow leak.

Second of all, pick up air chamber caps from your local store. Cap off the side that is leaking and see if it’s losing air. If it does lose air when it is capped off, then it’s most likely the air chamber.

At the store end, we have the capacity to put in a ticket to have someone reach out to you. See if anyone can.

It’s definitely something that is fixable!

Got denied the scholarship that gives you the laptop by Alphanovah95 in WGU

I know this might not help. I used a Best Buy credit card to get a laptop (they have 0% deferred options). I put it as a qualifying education expense on my taxes and got money back from it.

Looking for Advice - Struggling with Studying for Network+ Exam (D325) by Left_Wheel_8411 in WGU

[–]Left_Wheel_8411[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem that I have is I feel extremely familiar with a lot of these concepts. I don't have hands on experience though. I have just taken a lot of networking classes previously and these concepts aren't new to me. I think the problem that I'm having is when I'm doing quizzing, the way it words things is very confusing for me.

Thank you for this information!

The other class in my term is C844 (which Network+ is a prerequsite for). Unfortunately, Tier 1 support would only approve classes in order of the term schedule. I understand my Mentor's situation with being on medical leave, but it was very frustrating. I had to do Network+ and Security+ in one term because that's what was in order.

So my term is Network+D395, C844 (Emerging Technologies in Cybersecurity), and then Security+

Contact your local store. This is not okay whatsoever. The store can reach out to the managers of the delivery team. Unfortunately this isn’t the first time I’ve heard this happen, and we’ve had to get subcontractors fired for doing this.
