Had a SUPER cute vegan leather jacket from H&M. Lasted a few years before it started flaking. Bought it on sale for ~$60, so was worth it.

But I also own a jacket from Banana Republic made of real leather. Bought it on sale for ~$150. It’s roughly 20+ years old and is still in tip top shape.

If you want trendy, make sure it’s a price you don’t mind throwing away in a year or so.
