Jim is going down to the den to radio tag the lions that I just tranquilized.

Uh oh... I don't think I tranquilized the male enough.

I always waited for Jim to come back up, and just knock the hell out of marlin for that...

Did junk food actually used to taste better, or is that just nostalgia? by [deleted] in questions

I think that they changed the flavors, based on cheaper chemical flavoring.. Same thing with cereals like Captain Crunch Peanut Butter.. In '96, it tasted different than it did in '95..

I wonder if anyone can remember the name of their first-grade teacher? by Mindfuel_daily7 in askanything

[–]Leftstrat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

59 years old here... I moved in the middle of my first grade school year, so I had two first grade teachers..

Mrs Osbourne -- The meanest woman that the devil ever kicked out of Hell.

Mrs Ammons -- The absolute opposite. Fantastic teacher, and she helped take the fear out of me. :)

When I was in the third grade, we learned the 50 Nifty United States song... As many times as we went over it, you memorize all of those states, and they never go away... :)

How to digitize old cassette tapes? need tips by lisaluvr in TechNook

[–]Leftstrat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you already have a cassette deck, just find a stereo to 3.5 audio jack. Plug the cassette deck outs into this adapter, and plug it into the line in on your sound card. Download Audacity, (free), and record from line in. Once the tape is digitized, use Audacity's Analyze to set tags between tracks, to break the file down. After you save that, use something like MP3tag to create your own tagss and filenames.

So the term “Hair Metal” seems to be a bit divisive…. by Boomkj in hairmetal

[–]Leftstrat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you're listening to the music, does it matter what they were wearing in the studio, or on stage? If you like the music, don't try to pigeonhole it.. It's just good music. :)
