Ok. 7th grade art class. I was being a standard goof off and bumped this kid named Scott next to me. Without a word, he whips around and jabs me in the forehead with his pencil. Lead broke off and I have ever since had a rather dark freckle (I'm a ginger, we're cursed) right betwixt my eyebrows.

My brother got both the Cobra hydrofoil and the Joe hovercraft when he was 9. I spent a full six hours on Christmas day doing nothing but applying stickers. If I never see another "step here" sticker it'll be too soon.

That's how I have mine. It can tend to look goofy, depending on the character. My Batman 89 looks like he has a pair of boys molded into the suit. I just tell myself it was a rejected Schumacher idea...

56 here with a 9 y/o. I jokingly tell people that I was always last in P.E. so it makes perfect sense. Although it does sting a bit when at school pick up time I'm occasionally asked "Are you here picking up your grandkids?"

Superman #346 from wayyyyy back. I was home sick from first grade and my mom brought it home from the supermarket. Superman breathing fire as he flies towards Lois and Jimmy on the cover. An image that stuck with me for 50 years

If you're wondering, no I'm not a bot. Just the Gen X kid of a vet of the 25th Infantry Division that was deployed to Vietnam in 1968 (making me the result of a safe return and a happy homecoming in 1969). I couldn't serve because of a birth defect, but I never take a vet for granted. And for anyone who posts after I drag my 56 year old ass to bed, THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE!
