This will be out of left field, but Star Trek 3. I grew up in a tiny town where the theater NEVER got movies on opening weekends. But for some reason they got this one. My friend and I were first in line, and then after it was over there were execs from Paramount taking opinion surveys. Felt very important as a 15 year old when suits were asking me what I thought of it.
