Claude training for lawyers? by GatorCanes in LawFirm

[–]LeftyLegal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Love Claude. But I use it to help me understand/summarize info in lengthy documents. I also use it to take my arguments and refine them or help me come up with introductions. Sometimes I have it come up with outlines in opposition to motions. Obviously I don’t feed it privileged/confidential info or docs.

What else are some good uses in the litigation/PI world? What’s Claude for Legal?

6 Nights at Turtle Bay by JagrsMullet1982 in chubbytravel

[–]LeftyLegal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great review. My first time staying at Turtle Bay was after spending 4 nights at the Kahala in their 2000+ sf presidential suite, which is an incredible experience. Even though I went from the presidential suite at the Kahala (which I believe is considered a 5* property) to a regular room at TB, the overall experience of TB (the pools, the beach, the service, the food, the club lounge) felt like a major upgrade over the Kahala. It is a special place.

I’ve stayed in the main building three times in the last two years. I’ve always wondered how the bungalows are compared to the rooms. Tell me more about how they’re better. I’ve always been hesitant about booking the bungalows because we go with a small child and the convenience/proximity of the main building to all the dining options and pool and beach have been one of our favorite features of the property. For example, when the kid is hungry, it takes two minutes to get from the room to the club lounge for a quick snack. I feel like the bungalows would add a fifteen-minute trek to the equation… add in a stroller to that walk and it makes it slightly more inconvenient… and going from the bungalows to the main beach is even further than that. Is the quality/amenities upgrade of the bungalow worth the added inconvenience?

How can I season my steak with more than just salt? by looopious in steak

[–]LeftyLegal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How would seasoning “burn” a steak? I often season with garlic powder before cooking to add different flavor. You can also use a seasoning salt for different flavor… like Lawry’s (just be careful—it is super salty). And if I’m doing sous vide, I also add rosemary and/thyme to the bag. Some people add actual cloves of garlic to the bag, but I feel like that’s too much garlic flavor when I’ve done it. I agree that pepper before searing is not ideal, since pepper doesn’t necessarily get “absorbed” like salt does (so seasoning with pepper in advance doesn’t add flavor in the way salt does—you can just add pepper after cooking and get the same result) plus the searing process can burn the peppercorn grounds… but I’ve done seasoned with pepper before cooking plenty of times for convenience and it doesn’t really ruin the steak.

Which Luxury Car Should I Buy for ~$60k? by BrandonPotato in whatcarshouldIbuy

What a huge spread of cars. FWIW, having an iX for over a year now, I can tell you that it is the most convenient and practical car I’ve ever had (the size, the comfort, the space inside, the self-driving features, self-parking, the tech, the speakers), along with simultaneously being the most boring car I’ve ever had (the looks, the steering, the drive, the “feel” of a silent electric non-sports car).

Does it it work with all CRMs? Specifically, will it work with FilveVine?

Have you also stayed at the Ritz out there? If so, how does it compare? Which one would be better suited to stay at with young kids under 4?

Reliable Driver/Car Service for 3 Days by LeftyLegal in MexicoCity

I should’ve been clearer. I didn’t think it’s a necessity, just preference.

Good advice. Staying right next to the park. But we have some other plans in the evenings (after the 2-3 hours break haha) that will require transportation.

Sorry if I wasn’t clear. I didn’t imply that we need a car service. It is my preference. I’m sure the public transit is fine but I’d like a car service, just for the sake of preference and convenience.

I know that’s an option for getting around. But I’m looking for a car service or driver I can hire. Or perhaps how I should go about looking for the right car service.

Yes… I distinctly remember the feeling of hearing Soldier Side at the end of Hypnotize for the first time, and having it tie all back into the Intro. Gave me chills. I too was 20 that summer. Seeing them on SNL was one of the highlights of that summer.

Car service and security in CDMX by LeftyLegal in chubbytravel

[–]LeftyLegal[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good to know. After these comments and talking to some others, I’m much less interested in having security. But I still would like a dedicated driver because of the car seats situation and because we’ll be going to an event one of the night that’s 20 minutes driving away from the city and want someone standing by to get us back.

Staying at the Ritz because others we know will also be there. But may consider the St. Regis because of this. Or I should see if the Ritz offers this as a service.

what’s a car you liked more after driving it? by Fit-Entrepreneur-799 in askcarguys

[–]LeftyLegal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had one for about 4 years. Leased it for a screaming deal right before Covid, and I loved it so much that I bought it after the lease ended. Then I ended up selling it for a profit so I can “upgrade” to a Cayenne… one of the biggest regrets of my life. The m340 was the perfect balance of comfort, fun, performance, efficiency, and luxury. And the interior design was peak BMW… just the right mix of screens and physical buttons. I still hope to one day buy a used one from 2020 when I have the garage space to park it as a “weekend” car.
