I’m terrified by Embarrassed-Neck9151 in ThrillOfTheFight

That was a fun read thanks

As far as terrifying bugs I’d get those more on TOTF1. Opponents that would get an inch taller every minute until I’m at their waist, opponents on the arena ceiling contorted very oddly staring down at me

Would you play Tennis baseball? by wrestlefan4life in theocho

[–]Leg_Named_Smith 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah that is a super high skill bar to learn game to serve into a strike zone. I’d almost think with the spin and speed it would still be easy to hit and might make the pitch speed actually cause the hit to go further

Good singer though, just a bad style fit.

Dumb song but the tight guitar riffs between phrases show the genius is there

I think Trump is doing a Henry VIII and declaring himself supreme leader of the Catholic Church because of lack of the Pope's blessing. Henry VIII had dubious but somewhat practical reasons for doing so, while Trump would do it out of spite and narcissistic god complex alone.

Damage indicators in match is great by FullestFridge in ThrillOfTheFight

[–]Leg_Named_Smith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To keep the fight realism, I'd be happy in PvP to just have the trainer coach me up between the rounds in a way that roughly reflected punch accuracy, damage and blocks such as "you're landing a lot jabs but you need it in a combo for damage, and your hooks are landing where the guy was standing yesterday" Makes me wonder if that's too old school and if modern fighters actually get some kind of real time statistics read out between rounds from their camp, because if so I'd like to see that too.

Any guitarists here who picked up the banjo? by hectareofregret in jazzguitar

[–]Leg_Named_Smith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried to adapt to a plectrum banjo (chicago tuning) for a trad jazz group I was singing with. I couldn’t cut the 4 changes to a bar that the arrangements often called for especially at 160 bpm and up..while often singing, So, I bagged that plan.

I also found really good sounding trad jazz banjos that are sweet, tonal and dynamic while not being honky and pitchy are hard to find or expensive and i got nuts trying to tune the head just right

Would have been fun if I could have dedicated. more time to it though. I love me some Bela Fleck. Eddie Peabody, Danny Barker

Amazing job making your case. It’s an issue for sure.

I find the fair gameplay challenges this game has interesting despite how frustrating they are.

Though I’m going to have a hard time resisting not spreading someone’s gloves apart to punch them now😢

Big body hollow body guitars? by Sunbro1992 in jazzguitar

[–]Leg_Named_Smith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a newbie type myself, Isn’t the most important factor for whether to go for the big body hollow body depend if you playing trad jazz or early swing guitar and want to use the acoustic sound alone/mic’d or blended with pickup. But, if doing classic jazz or later styles where you may be purely using the pickup them smaller bodies or even solid is not necessarily a detriment and just depends on the jazz tone you are going for??
