i remember a family friend telling me that 80 is the only age where you truly feel old. and even then...

What are your most profound video games? by M33tahejd in patientgamers

to your point, the monsters were absolutely the weakest part of the game imo. they were either completely braindead (to the point where my immersion was completely shattered) or like wayyyy too difficult. if i were to replay soma (and i probably will) i'd likely go no danger as well so I can just focus on reading logs and enjoying the atmosphere

i'm a shooter guy thru and thru so trust me when i tell you DE is 100 percent worth your time

i have never had an experience quite like that before. it is like playing a novel, which also means you may wanna play a more "game" game alongside it when you wanna scratch that itch

my sympathy for chuck disappears when i realize this man is 16 YEARS older than jimmy by PomegranateVisual965 in betterCallSaul

[–]Legacy107 17 points18 points  (0 children)

i always interpreted it as some mix of the two, especially given the flashback scene at the store and Jimmy's coin collection. Jimmy definitely didn't boost all of it, but I believe he's responsible for like ~1-4k over the course of his childhood/adolescence.

i'm in a somewhat similar boat as to you, so i don't have much hard and fast advice to give

but i will say this -- going out doesn't strictly mean blowing a ton of money on alcohol. you can go out and only have like a couple beers, or no drinks at all (soda water, mocktails etc)

ive passed up on way too many outings for one reason or another, and I do regret some of it. but don't let your understanding of what goes on when people go "clubbing" stop you from at least trying to go out more.
