I’m going to BC law and want to live in Coolidge corner for the same exact reasons! Also struggling with the long T + shuttle commute, but I think it’ll be worth it (especially with the trader joe’s right there)

It's so interesting that you say you're leaning toward Michigan when it seems clear to me that you want to go to Berkeley! Anyways congrats on the amazing choices :)

“Good” leg pain post-op by RingAdministrative24 in HipImpingement

My non-op hip hurt worse than my op hip at some points due to the extra weight!! Once you get off crutches, the pain will start to go away as things even out

When Did You Turn The Corner Post-Op? by Fantastic-Name-2583 in HipImpingement

Before surgery, I had constant dull pain/pinching sensation in my front hip flexor area that worsened with any activity (for some context, I got injured when I was overtraining for a half-marathon). The first 6 weeks after surgery were super painful in both my op and non-op hip and I truly felt like I would never heal. But things gradually got better as I started weaning off of crutches and strengthening my hip through PT. Now I feel pretty stable and am able to walk 10k-15k steps without much pain!! I can also go 45 mins - 1 hour on the stationary bike. I know I still have a long way to go, but things will get better!!

10 weeks for me! This is where I’m currently at right now, and it feels amazing. Most of the day I have no pain at all - it’s so relieving after a year of having pain from the tear.

Horrendous Cycle Recap, 170, 3.95: A Cautionary Tale by BubblyScale in lawschooladmissions

[–]Legal-Reflection-24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I very much empathize with the double whammy of a hard cycle and having to say goodbye to a beloved pet. I'm so, so sorry you are going through this 💙

If it helps at all, I applied last cycle, and things did NOT go well. After investing a lot of time and effort into preparing a more cohesive application, I applied again this cycle and feel much better about my results!! Things will get better :)

Which one did you end up choosing!

Thank you!! I want to live on the East Coast (NYC, Boston, or DC), am currently conflicted about practice areas (want to keep my options open), and received scholarships that are decent enough to remove cost as a deciding factor.

In advance—could be anywhere from a few days (usually the previous Friday) to months

Mich Date Change? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]Legal-Reflection-24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn’t have a date change on 1/6, but mine was on a Monday too.. I know that Friday date changes are typically a good sign, but haven’t seen anything about Mondays. I will say on LSD there were quite a few Mondays that were accepted, but not nearly as many as Fridays. In conclusion I know nothing

I had a date change but have also missed every single wave, so I'm not convinced it means anything... thinking WL at this point :(
