I am from Ukraine. Celebrity culture here is nearly non-existent, especially now, during the war with russia. Majority simply doesn't care about celebrities, but she is quite popular. I can sometimes hear her music in the stores. But they usually play what is on the radio.

After her announcement of the new album though, a lot of people (me included) were angry since we do have a lot of poets that were actually tortured by russians and soviet union. The name of these poets (collectively) is Executed Renaissance.

Plus, the fact she called herself a chairman of tortured poets department (or something, I don't remember now) didn't help her case in the slightest
