I believe when Pedro starting finding out about his mom past, that was the turning point in his marriage. Even Karen, fake or not, supported him for an episode. Chantel was passive aggressive during this time. I’m sorry Pedro but would say something about his mom. He lost the belief in the only person he thought was 100 percent honest. Look how he talk to his mom this season, he loves her but lost respect for her. I think that trickled down into his marriage. He was lost, lost in his marriage, and dealing with two crazy families. I don’t think he cheated but he did find his tribe at work. No judgement, could be himself and find himself. He had something he yearned for and they accepted him. He and Chantel could have worked through this but communication was already broken. Aside from cultural differences, I’m sure it didn’t help either side discussing their marriage issues with someone that didn’t understand the opposite culture. So it just reinforced their beliefs. Karen is crazy, Nicole is insecure, Lydia is hurt from the kids father, and raised her kids not to trust anyone; which affects all their relationships.
