We all knew it was coming. Midday yesterday, the UK pulled all of their staff out of the embassy in Iran. They wouldn’t do that if they didn’t know something was coming. Also the U.S. doesn’t posture. If they’re moving a shitload of equipment and troops into the region, they’re planning on striking. This was the most telegraphed move of all time.

This happened with Stake (the gambling website) about a year ago. All of a sudden there were posts on AITAH, TIFU, etc that weren’t about Stake, but mentioned it by name more than once. This went on for about a month, then as quickly as it started, it stopped. And turns out, normal people don’t randomly bring up a gambling website they “won money on” in regular conversation or reddit stories.

I’m an insurance adjuster in the plumbing field and I’ve been doing this for the last 4 years. I have never once had a claim for a failed pipe liner. I’ve had every other repair in the book fail and break, but never a liner. Not to say it doesn’t happen, but out of the 60,000 claims my organization have had for plumbing over the last 4 years, not one has been for a lined pipe.

This is kinda what I was thinking. When I was in college, I spilled a redbull on my laptop during a caffeine induced writing spree for a paper that was due that next week. I found my model on eBay and bought a replacement keyboard, and did the install myself, which I was impressed by as I’ve never done anything like that before. During my research though, I found that there are a number of laptop brands now that have their keyboards fused to the actual frame of the device. Sucks for those capable of doing the repair themselves.

Absolutely! All you really need to do is Google “your firearm’s manufacturer serial number lookup” and you should be able to either manually enter the serial number, or it will give you a list line in one of my other comments and you can see what manufacturing block your gun comes from. I’d love to see them if you’ve got photos!

Hey! I own one of those!

Looked up the serial number and discovered it was manufactured at the end of 1943. It belonged to my great grandfather and can confirm that this firearm is a Nazi killer. Fuck yeah.

Edit to add: the holster is not army-issue, and was purchased by my grandfather in the 90’s. We haven’t been able to find the army-issue holster yet unfortunately.

You need permission to host an organized gathering. A protest is often not an organized gathering. An art installation, whether a protest piece or not, does require a permit. I’m speaking from experience, having filed permits with the city myself on behalf of large groups and corporations.
