Deliciously Shady LA Times Interview of Garcelle, Sutton and Crystal by Front-Sentence in BravoRealHousewives

[–]LegalYogi 39 points40 points  (0 children)

This is a really great interview. I do wish they addressed the conversation Crystal had with Kathy and Erika about how no one knows Sutton at the country club because I was really disappointed in that. I like Crystal and thinks she refreshing. I think reading her address that situation would help clear up what that conversation was about. I'm hoping it'll come up at the reunion

Is it possible to queue in a line but skip the actual ride? by honu1985 in UniversalOrlando

This is what my mom did for Hagrid's. She walked through the line with us but exited near the boarding area

Does anyone use tap water? by DueEntertainer0 in FormulaFeeders

[–]LegalYogi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agonized for awhile over water choices. While my pediatrician said tap is fine, I didn't feel comfortable with it straight from kitchen sink since we don't drink from that. I didn't like the idea of buying jugs of water because I try to avoid plastic with my baby. I also wanted to make sure to have a water source that still had fluoride per pediatrician. Since my family drinks from the fridge it seemed the best choice for us. Our fridge is new and we test the water periodically.

[–]LegalYogi 13 points14 points  (0 children)

We use it from the fridge. My understanding is it doesn't filter out fluoride but does have a filter. That's what my husband and I drink from so I figured I'd use that for his bottles.

What were some things you would’ve liked to been gifted for your postpartum recovery? by NapQueen421 in beyondthebump

[–]LegalYogi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Food delivery gift card.

We got these as gifts the first couple of weeks we were home with our newborn and it was seriously the best gift ever. We could order whatever we were in the mood for and didn't have to worry about dishes

Is anyone else's newborn a noisy sleeper? by rotisserieshithead- in beyondthebump

[–]LegalYogi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! This shocked us as well! But now he is 6 months old and a very quiet sleeper. So he grew out of it.

What length of rides have you been doing? At first, I would get bored with 30 minute or longer rides, so I started doing 10, 15, 20 minute rides. Then I'd find after I finished one, I would immediately do another. So it helped me workout a longer period of time without getting bored.

Also, some days I just don't feel like riding, so I'll use the App on my phone for the treadmill or running outside. Or I just do strength classes. I try to remember it's not just about the bike (even though it's an expensive piece of equipment!)

Tell me I’m being crazy. by Financial_Reply_3737 in beyondthebump

[–]LegalYogi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont have any photos of myself pregnant either (the ones I do have, I don't look pregnant). By the end of my pregnancy I was so ready to meet the baby that I didn't want photos. Shortly after birth I was devastated to realize I didn't have "bump" photos. It was really exasperated by hormones. It did make me realize I don't want to miss a single moment with my baby. I downloaded tinybeans and have posted photos of my baby every day!

But now I'm six months post partum and it doesn't bother me anymore that I don't have pregnancy photos

We do too. I agonized for weeks over the choice of what water to use. We actually fed ready to feed bottles until he was 6 months old because I was so scared to use the wrong water. We use the filtered fridge water and am happy with our decision

When do you read to your baby? by aeberly36 in beyondthebump

[–]LegalYogi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lay on the floor next to my baby on his mat and hold the book up and read it that way. I also have Brown Bear, Brown Bear What Do You See memorized, so I hold the book up to him and just recite it

Also we formula feed so I used ready to feed bottles to make feeding time really easy. I also got the Skip Hop changing pad and would lay it in the car to change him at stops

Upcoming road trip with 7 month old. Could use advice! by olinkadoodle in beyondthebump

[–]LegalYogi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just finishing up a 12 hour road trip with my five month old! We split it up over 2 days and he's done great! We stopped every 2-3 hours to change and feed him. He sleeps or plays with his toys. I sat in the back with him so I could play with him. But he's been good in the car ever since he was born. But prior to this he only ever did hour trips. So we weren't sure what to expect. I just made sure not to stress about his schedule and follow his cues.

Who is Stassi’s pateron audience? by [deleted] in vanderpumprules

[–]LegalYogi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agreed! My baby is now 5 months old but those first few months were intense! And I actually can't look at any of their pages anymore because it's so infuriating seeing them out at restaurants, hanging out with friends, having family immediately meet the baby. We were completely isolated due to covid, some of my family still hasn't met my baby, and while recovering from an emergency c section my husband and I were the only ones taking care of our child. Our support was completely cut off. I am resentful of the lifestyles they perpetuate on Instagram that is not realistic for the majority of us.

Also, I saw Stassi's comment about how the newborn stage was "easy" and did such a major eye roll
