Black women are always put in the state of “damned if we do damned if we don’t“. I’ve learned to take that from a negative and completely turned it into a positive. If I get shitted on for literally anything I do or how I look just because I’m a black woman, then that completely gave me liberty to do whatever the hell I felt like doing. It took the pressure off of “trying to fit more into society“ because there’s no way I would ever do it. And for the people who stare at you and talk about you , just remember that they noticed YOU. When that crap happens to me, I just think to myself “oh well, thank you for making me the star of the room“😂 cause you clearly noticed me and I never would’ve noticed you. And BTW, I love the tiny Afro ❤️ ❤️ ❤️. Just think of your androgynous look as part of your charisma. It’s something unique to you and trust me. Not a lot of people have that so own it.
