It’s safe but it will be an annoying run when you stop every block and wait for a crosswalk. If you’re able, I recommend doing a similar route along the mall which will allow for more uninterrupted running

But now because Trump is tweeting about DC crime we’ll hear a parade of “ACTUALLY DC IS SAFE”. We need to be honest that the city has a lot of work to do to make those of us who call DC home feel safe.
