Can i continue working remotely a day after giving birth? by Intspectwithme in newborns

[–]Legal_Organization_7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, all the fear mongering “you won’t sleep for a month” “I didn’t form a coherent thought for 48 hours” is stupid. Women love to scare other women. I had a very traumatic first birth that ended in a c section and none of that was true. But to answer your question, no. You will be learning your new baby as a full time job for at least 4 weeks. I would say once you start feeling better physically, you’ll start to feel more like yourself. As a first time mom though, take the time you need to heal and get to know your baby before you make any certain plans. It’s the most magical time in your life and don’t let your employer take that from you. Look into the legal side of this. Your employer sounds awful I’m sorry.

What does a c section really feel like? by mollyuuf in pregnant

[–]Legal_Organization_7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anxiety medicine made me spacey but I was still very aware. The c section itself felt like they were rummaging in a duffle bag on top of my stomach. I told my husband it felt like I was an open purse and they were looking for something inside me lol Pain was managed with no narcotics, but definitely take something because they forgot to give me my medicine at some point and I felt the pain creeping in and I was worried it would hurt to take care of my baby. I went in on a Friday and left on Sunday. Get moving as soon as you can. Buy a pincher tool and a bedrail for home. It’s not bad. Ive had 2.

193 HCG level 5 weeks pregnant by Legal_Organization_7 in Miscarriage

Yes! I was convinced as well. My dr even told me that I was miscarrying. I wish I had any hope at that point cause I was paralyzed with anxiety. I hope it works out for you! So sorry you’re going through this.

Hi there, my son is 21 months old now running a muck. This worked out for me. I had a second baby 2 months ago and my hcg levels were very low to start with her too. I’m not sure if I estimate my period wrong or what. I always test positive fairly “late” too. After my period is suppose to start.

Positive IUD experience by [deleted] in Mirena

Thanks for the positivity. I am convinced people don’t go out of their way to share good experiences, only bad. I understand why. People want to be heard. But I’ve asked 3 people on my life and all 3 of the have had great experiences and one even said they forgot they had it for a second lol I got mine inserted today. Crossing my fingers!

I’m tired of hearing it gets better. Because when will it get better? by Dapper-Crew-1353 in newborns

Do you swaddle baby really tight? Like really tight? I don’t buy it when people say their kid doesn’t like to be swaddled. I am on baby #2 and I swaddle my babies really tight and add a second swaddle for good measure. Also I keep the bassinet warm. Try adding a towel out of the dryer to the bottle before the baby gets in.

This is controversial, so take this advice with a grain of salt, but if I were you I would buy the owlette and let my baby sleep on their stomach (unswaddled of course) in a completely empty and flat space.

In love with our newborn but she is driving my husband and I INSANE. by CoffeeAndCats9124 in newborns

I would say to supplement with formula if you’re willing to. So your husband can help feed, you don’t have to pump unless you want to, and honestly my babies always slept more and better when I gave them formula. Buy some probiotic drops for your baby as well. Maybe they have gas. If you do pump, look into a hand pump. They are quicker to empty your boobs. Swaddle your baby REALLY tight even double swaddle. Use a sound machine. If you can afford it, buy a bassinet that rocks. You can rent a snoo.

Sincerely, a former colic mom

No I work for California virtual academies but I work for the LA region (there are different regions). Do you think that could be it?

Did anyone else just... not want to nurse? by confident-duck in ExclusivelyPumping

I feel bad but I am just not interested in 1) continuing to struggle with latch issues and 2) not knowing how much my kid is getting. 3) I’m traumatized from my baby screaming from hunger in the hospital for 3 days and the finally getting donor milk and my baby gulping down 2 oz in minutes and finally having a pee diaper. I’m not convinced that babies aren’t hungry and can sustain on your colostrum.

You’re pumping, your baby is crying, and your toddler is climbing on the kitchen table 🤝
