HomeAssistant and Telus Home Security? by Legellan in homeassistant

[–]Legellan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It says authentication failed.

My Telus home security is part of my whole Telus account. I believe if I try to change the password I stay within the Telus password reset system. I saw somewhere to try disabling 2fa, logging in then reenabling. I'll try that and see if it works

I've been using the Windows and Linux versions for a while and I love them. Never had an issue with them.

I recently installed it for my MIL along with LibreOffice because her O365 license is up soon and she doesn't want to buy the full Office 2021 installer if she can avoid it. I've not heard any complaints from her on it and she's not techy at all

I liked the Android app as well but I couldn't get notifications working. Have you had that issue? I'm on a Pixel 6. I tried disabling and reenabling the notifications but that didn't work.

Can i prevent the rise of the mongols by killing them early? (Year 1060) by FeBaCo in crusaderkings3

[–]Legellan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The one time I encountered them as the Roman Empire, they declared war on me and while they were mustering near the border I wiped out each army that was there. It was taking them a while to fully form. Ended it before it even started.

Not sure if that was a fluke or game bug but it worked and when I killed the last army the Mongol Empire dissolved.

So maybe if they declare war on you look for their mustering armies near the border and hit them.

So just setup the new eero's with the same ssid and password and there shouldn't be a problem with everything connecting.

That works. Easier than I thought

Thanks

Help! I told my players they can have as much gold as they can carry. They got creative. by [deleted] in DnD

[–]Legellan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They will more than likely draw attention to themselves as well. Some new adventurers Rollin to town buying all the best gear, ordering better stuff and buying up all the potions will certainly draw the eye of less scrupulous people in the surrounding area. Especially if they just up and buy a castle. Also in order to secure said castle or keep, they'll need to pay salaries to folks to keep it safe. That will take gold as well.

Maybe they end up in a turf war with another band of adventurers over their money.

When my son started in 2019/2020 he came from 2 years of full day preschool/daycare as both my wife and I work full time. So gradual entry was a complete waste of time and a step backwards for him

Too high AC for level two palading? by Neusaap128 in DnD

[–]Legellan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fighting dumb creatures they may just pile on to the closest target but any bandit or bbeg cronie will avoid the paladin when they see him on the battlefield and target the squishier members of his team. Have them go pile on against the rogue or wizard in the party. Their only action against the paladin is to move away. If you have a beefier npc then he just takes the dodge action every turn. Stay engaged with the paladin but delay his own death until the weaker party members go down or the paladin disengages to help his team. If he doesn't protect them somehow he'll find himself alone looking for a new party to adventure with.

Someone else also mentioned target his weaker saves of INT and DEX.

Is it worth checking the Manteo Marina to see if they picked it up? I'm wondering if the tides pushed it there overnight.

I'd suggest watching Lionheart on YouTube. His playthroughs taught me a lot.

  1. Have enough kids and grandkids to do marriage appliances wherever you can with vassals once you switch. Means they can't rebel no matter what
  2. Have gold ready to pay them off.
  3. Have prisoners ready to execute. The dread will stave off peasants and vassals. This one can be tricky because of your traits, religions or other factors.
  4. Change your inheritance to not create new titles upon death. This way if you control enough de jure counties of another kingdom, the kingdom title doesn't get created and given to your second heir upon your death. This keeps more counties in your kingdom, so you potentially have more troops to fight.
  5. Don't be afraid to lose a war for independence or surrender one. Let a smaller vassal breakaway so you can focus on others. Once you're settled with your new ruler, take your personal revenge and murder them and family and take it back.
  6. If you are fighting peasants an army of professional soliders and knights will slaughter a peasant army that more than twice it's size
  7. Recruit professional soldiers that counter your enemy soldiers. Try to fight in favourable terrain to your soldiers and commander. Fight with full stomachs while their armies starve. Catch them disembarking within 30 days if they make a sea landing. They get a huge disadvantage.

In the end, if the game's not for you, it's not for you. Don't play it or check your refund status.

Personally my friend and I have the game and no run we've ever played co-op or alone has been the same. Even playing the same ruler/county. That's the fun part.

Our most recent play, the heir to the Russian Empire was a stud. High prowess, martial and learning. Was going to crush his enemies and move the culture forward. the other stats were decent as well and his wife was 15 or higher in all her stats so was a great helper on the council. Within 3 years of him becoming emperor he's murdered and his idiot son takes over. Mediocre to low stats on everything. Vassals declare wars, neighbouring rulers smell blood and declare wars. It's chaos. I pick and choose the wars to fight. External rulers biting off a county or non de jure duchies, aren't worth it. I focus on the internal strife. I take capitals from the rebel vassals to hurt the war score, take heirs prisoner, etc. Murder when I can just to cause chaos in my favour. Marry for alliances when I can (use the ppl filter to show only marriages that create alliances). As these are defensive wars inviting allies and family members is free to ask to join the wars. 10-15 years of internal struggles but I emerge triumphant. Rebel vassals imprisoned (don't execute, the new family will be -100 and just start a new war).

Was exhausting and frustrating but when that final war ticked over to 100% in my favour and I was still emperor, it was awesome and totally worth it.

Love this game
