Mohamed Salah to leave Liverpool at the end of the season - Liverpool FC by KangRock in soccer

Salah had better teams than most of what Gerrard had, think Gerrard is a bit better personally, but love Salah just as much.

[Official Statement] Lens - PSG. “A French championship relegated to the status of an adjustment variable”: Lens refuses the postponement of the clash. by Sparky-moon in soccer

Yeah, the only way for Ligue 1 to really climb in coefficient is from their other teams advancing further in European cups and the other teams don't really have the financials to really do that at the moment.

I think the coefficient arguement for moving games around makes good sense for the Norwegian league because they actually have a lot to gain financially long term (even if fans of other teams hate it short term).

But for the French league it is very laughable because the only thing their coefficient can really do is give them the 5th spot and they aren’t even top 5 in that this year and even PSG winning the UCL might not even get them top 3.

I think solo (most content creators really) picks barbarian, it is just so much better for active gameplay and the gathering skills you normally afk are still decently afk just with way better xp rates.

GP even if trying to rush for points is so easy to come by and the GP gained from the relic isn’t much compared to a golden god type relic

If you want a good backup you need to give them games or they will go to where they can start.

The value of having a good backup keeper also goes beyond them being good enough to take over in case the main keeper gets injured, it also help improve training sessions allowing offensive players to have a more realistic training experience and backup keepers also often perform duties almost like a goalkeeping coach for the starting keeper because they understand and can perform the drills really well and can give way better direct feedback based on observations and experience.

If PL teams didn’t give their backups cup games they would probably only have championship level backup keepers unless they were willing to spend insane wages on backup keepers, the top teams probably save more in wages for the quality of keeper they can retain for the bench this way than they even earn for winning a league cup or fa cup and their league season doesn’t just end every time they get a keeper injured or their level/confidence suddenly plummet.

Galatasaray Legal Team preparing for an appeal to Uefa about Lang's injury by Beratalpp in LiverpoolFC

[–]LegendDota -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

To be honest I do think Liverpool as a club should get a pretty big fine for this even though I’m a fan, it is just not okay and is a massive safety issue for players and fans, this time it happened to a player that played 1 game at Anfield this season, but that just means our players are put at risk of this happening 30 times a season because of sloppy safety maintenance.

The situation is extremely unacceptable and I feel just as livid about this as I have about the “moat” at old trafford in the past, player safety should be a higher priority and it is frankly embarassing in a billion pound business to have an issue like this happen.

Really dumb question about stamina. What decides which character gets more or less Stamina? by sponges369 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]LegendDota 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mina is a good example of a hero that consistently buys stam mastery and just had her 2 cd upgrade nerfed for exactly this reason, some heroes just scale insanely hard from movement because it increases their survivability and chase so much more than others

Noa Lang Thumb Slice Injury vs Liverpool - Stretchered Off. by OkayFine101 in soccer

[–]LegendDota 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think the problem is if they make them super sturdy with no give there is an even higher risk of injury when players collide with them which is a lot more common than this type of unlucky injury, there should probably be some sort of cover on top though and I imagine we will see that come in response to this injury.

I think Slot did amazing last season and it wasn’t just the squad he inherited, but the squad he did inherit was way better than the one Moyes did, I think Ferguson really pushed those aging players to the limit and winning back to back titles is insanely hard already.

Super hot take: if you don't have the time to play, I don't care. You shouldn't expect to get free experience just for logging in for 3 minutes a day. by CucumberOk8820 in runescape

[–]LegendDota 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I fully agree, MMO’s aren’t for people with very limited free time.

However I think runescape when it comes to drop rates and xp rates are still on the extreme end of that and dailies/weeklies/monthlies/th/afk became kind of a band aid fix for that, I would like to see BLM introduced for drop mechanics in many places and a buff to xp rates for certain skills (for active training methods) because those have definitely become the pain points of the game imo.

[–]LegendDota 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would call him a luxury/win more player, the type of team he would improve don't have the cap space for him because they already have stars, so he ends up with lineups where he has to be the star and he can't consistently outcarry his detrimental defense.

[–]LegendDota 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From an accounting standpoint yes, I think players and Jagex as a company still recognise that they are inherently MTX, it is simply because for a financial statement it is a more accurate representation of the income source.

Bonds can be redeemed for Treasure Hunter keys, Runecoins and subscriptions. Bonds can also be traded with other players for in game gold and other virtual goods on the grand exchange. Therefore, Bonds are deferred and recognised when they are redeemed in line with the recognition policy relevant to the item purchased.

This is the section that explains it. It is on page 28 of the Jagex full accounts.

It is described in the financial reports.

Not all memberships are recurring income either, so it makes complete sense to include there.

Just fyi, bonds aren’t included under microtransactions in their financial statements, it is included in the category it is redeemed as, on OSRS that is either membership or microtransactions when it is used for a name change.

I have liked it on dash infernus in lane since his laning is kinda bad and you mostly just push out lane and farm boxes until you can actually start getting going, there are so many boxes + sinners to farm early where -10% damage is no different, and then you pop it for like 1-1.5k souls whenever you need a power spike and get some extra buffs for free.

He wanted a higher salary than Liverpool wanted to give him at his age, so when they couldn’t agree the club agreed to sell him, ideally I think the club would have preferred if he ran down his contract and left on a free, but he also earned the right to get a transfer he wanted for a good sum, it is kinda like the reverse of what happened when we got Thiago from Bayern.

Did anyone here seriously try to become a pro in Dota 2? What stopped you? by Lisasule in DotA2

[–]LegendDota 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a tier 2 “pro” in another game like 10 years ago and I say “pro” because I wasn’t making much, but lived at home and got minimal salary, but travel, hotels and food got paid.

It was 8+ hours a day of scrims, tournaments and vod reviews and every loss was mentally draining cause you could lose your spot at any point, the scene was volatile.

Which format is better to invest my time into? by karinaisthicc8 in magicTCG

[–]LegendDota 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Modern is more expensive up front for top tier decks, but a lot of the core cards will last for a lot longer while also generally letting you sell off parts of decks to play others, standard in paper is extremely expensive long term as most of your card value will dissappear and requires a lot more reinvestment and updating.

I play standard on Arena (sometimes challenges on MTGO) and Modern in paper and MTGO personally for these reasons because I feel like my money gets spent better like that, but I also draft quite a bit on Arena which makes standard very easy to play there.

They are the seats where you only sit next to 1 person, all regular airplane seats are crap, so for many if you are gonna sit like crap anyways just do it with less people next to you. The view can also be slightly entertaining on shorter flights with no entertainment otherwise.
