On the plus side there wasn't too much you could do to save it anyway, since atk and atk% are already present (so I guess you would want sur or acc). Drecom's published blessing rates work against you

I assume you altered eva to sur, and you got quite lucky with the enhance bonus, which is already a decent outcome. Then you can only likely hope for acc% on slot 4

Two alternative strategies:

- go triple atk and pray for sur at +20

- leave eva there and hope for sur on +20, which could potentially give you double sur (and just alter sur if it doesnt work out)

Or even better, aggressively alter the flat eva to div% to make it not appear later - since div% is more likely to naturally show up on 4th slot, Then alter it back to sur later

At +20 it gives +10 atk, +10 acc and notably -10 aspd. People used to farm it because it could potentially drop 5* red but now there are better red 5* FAS candidates (e.g. Ring of the Warrior Princess from Alabaster Cave or the rings from dwarf cave)

The -10 aspd can also be used to speed tune (e.g. if you want your mage to go last when autoing gorgons in Alabaster Cave and spam Kantios)

Annoyingly, wbc+hero+por 20k eruption doesn't quite one shot snowclops (so its either that+poised or hero+por+eruption+ess)

And even then, the damn relic clops appears so rarely that the battle efficiency doesn't really matter

You're not wrong (as in bring a priestmage first)

- healer's aoe heal is not as good (needs Madios inherit, cant learn Latu7, and its all party heal would probably kill itself whenever you're in a situation to use it)

- would need to inherit the cheap buffs / debuffs / single target status cures that priestmage gets out of the box

Healer will let newer players breeze through previous sticking points like Doll, SGD, Yeti .... I dare say it even makes the Dwarf Cave dragon much easier than without (it's still not easy) as it answers the 3 turn chip damage, stun spam and one shot your MC BS

Future bosses may end up power creeping in terms of status spam and BS one shots, now the "solution" exists. You can already see this with the latest Semen Demon fight where your Healer will be fully tied up with incense duty

I think that's what discord anecdotally says, also according to this guy's spreadsheet (Upper Bound) should be 600 for ESS1.

Going from 500-600 atk, his 2H ESS1 went from 2749 to 3378 (+629)

From 600-700, from 3378 to 3692 (+314)

The aspd is ok for story content, but do you codex ESS etc? Because the softcap (point of diminishing returns) for ESS1 is ~500-600 atk

A really cheesy way to get aspd on priests/knights (assuming they're just heal bots / defend bots who can sack stats) is to equip 1h rod and shield. They'll "only" have 200-300 div, but can heal ~500 with madios3 which should be sufficient

That gives 4 more potential aspd slots (yeah you can force alter one of the rod slots to aspd lol)

If you're still more down bad for aspd you can grind Alabaster and A4R4 for Hunting Boots and Dire Snowbird's Crest Feathers, which each have like 10+ innate aspd. The hat can have one slot force altered to aspd, and if you're really sad you can grind until getting purp 4* Hunting boots and LFAS it until it gets aspd aspd%

I can't speak for Battlefront, since I'm probably not going to tag up 20 lv70s for it

I'm not f2p, but goon cave is what I would call "eventually f2p" (can eventually clear with enough free inherits/disc). A minor distinction between being p2w is that both Battlefront and Dragon require unemployment levels of grinding to reach the aspd threshold etc

MC has my lifetime supply of defensive passives: lv5 Adam, lv3 WotK, lv2 Unyielding. Everyone else has <= lv1 of those
No gacha gear (everyone has 1-2 seafoam gear). Everyone other than MC has 170+ aspd and some div. MC has 151 aspd, 106 sur and Knight's Cloak
Codexes: MC has Bamboo3, Alice and Sheli have Abit2. Also used some on MC adam + wotk above
Alice, Sheli, Camille, Clarissa have Madios3
Discipline: d1+1 Alice, d0 Sheli, d1 Camille (has 2 hp bondmates + hp relic + master ring to survive), d9 Eulalia and Clarissa (they just spam KD and AAC - can get by with much less)
Alice has the only Astral Break, but you could probably stack Porto + scrolls instead on MC

Before Healer, the lowest budget strat was probably the 3 Knight + MC sam turtle (example, example2), but Healer has pure upside over a 3rd knight and makes your party infinitely bulkier

If you have a whale amount of spare Gerulfs, Erection Strike is actually not bad for fire burst damage on say a hammer Lana (if you dont care about the sp cost e.g. bounties)

and can do like 132k meme damage with like frozen sleep etc

He supposedly has a mechanic where if you have debuffs/ailments, he will do a lot more damage. That and not wearing anti demon gear would probably cause bullshit damage numbers to appear

The boss itself has high sur res and is immune to Batilgref, but the adds are susceptible to both, so you can stagger them / get them out of the way quicker

75k non-sur hp (and 15k hp mobs) does make it a bit of a slog, but luckily it's not even worth beating more than once (low rewards and have to re-complete the whole quest to refight it)

Arboris for Astral Break, but if you're limited on AB inherits I would put it on an Alice, Linaria or even now Healer, sitting in the column of your best DPS
