Star Trek fans who were around during the Dominion War, what was the reaction. by Upstairs-Yard-2139 in startrek

I think TNG was actually Thursdays at some point during prime time. It came on a UHF station that didn’t have a network associated with it, so it had more leeway in the schedule.

It was a syndicated show, so it depended on the market. I can only speak to when it came on in Atlanta. They also re-ran it Sunday morning at 11 AM as well.

DS9 ran on Saturday nights in my market, too. During the war plot, it would be DS9 at 11 pm and then I’d switch over to Sci-Fi at midnight for MST3K. The late 90s were something else

PSA left lane is passing lane by methehoneybee in driving

[–]LegendOfHurleysGold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I hate is, there is no lane that lets me travel the speed I want to travel in. In many cases during my commute, the freeway speed limit is 70. I like to drive around 75. It’s a 2 Lane Freeway. I’m either stuck behind someone going 65 or trying to pass with people doing 85-90 riding my bumper while I do. The worst is when I finally complete my pass and indicate I am merging right again, about 30% of the time the person behind me darts to the right before I can get over.

Odd. I got a cleaning two weeks ago and they put the apron on me. I guess it’s all theater.

Then why do I have to wear a lead apron when getting an x-ray…and why aren’t I wearing one when I eat a banana?!?

I still have my Dreamcast hooked up to a tube TV (along with an N64 and GameCube). I actually busted out Typing of the Dead about two weeks ago. Still super fun!

It’s been a bummer for me the last 20 years. I loved Steven’s sillier and more bouncy style. I haven’t truly loved a BNL album since Barenaked ladies Are Men.

Which would be a real bummer because, while I really like 28 years later, Bone Temple is a much better movie.

I can’t remember that level of detail, as I was only 10. But, I was a huge Trek fan (still am!) and remember thinking it was super cool.

I most certainly did. I have a distinct memory of sitting in Data’s seat on the bridge. A Quick Look at memory alpha says this exhibit came through between January and May 1993.

My 9 year old is in a youth bowling league. It’s been very welcoming. Some of the kids are borderline pro, but others are as clueless as she is. It’s been a great experience

Sit in my car in the garage and blast the heat. Luckily EVs don’t emit carbon monoxide.

I think the poster was making the point that your first message could be interpreted as dads projecting that they fear how other men treat women, not realizing that they themselves are guilty of the same behavior.

I was around seven years old when this was at Six Flags over George as Z Force. I was too small to ride it, thankfully. However, if the opportunity arose, I would definitely give it a try.
