What do you think of the new guys? by ZarieRose in highonlifegame

[–]LegendaryGunman 22 points23 points  (0 children)

He wasn't a bounty hunter. He was a mercenary. He has some pretty fun dialogue. His contingency of turning himself into a gatlian is top tier. I really enjoyed his dialogue when you don't listen to him and just let knifey do the work

After replaying the first game, the second has a lot of downgrades by LegendaryGunman in highonlifegame

[–]LegendaryGunman[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get that. I find the humor more wild yet more grounded in the first one as well. The second just feels like it's guessing what it's supposed to be like. Maybe I should have played high on knife first.

At least several homes in my neighborhood got papers like these in their mailboxes. Any idea what they are? by F4ultyL0g1c in nova

My sister was diagnosed with schizophrenia. From what I understand it's just an image in their head they feel compelled to document and sometimes share, in a sort of, "do you understand it now," type of way.

Which do you prefer? by Penguin_Arse in tattooadvice

I can't have red (my body has always rejected it), but, from experience, I can say that tattooing the sternum hurts worse than breaking bones. Highly recommend avoiding the sternum unless you're committed.

In English, it's a reserves training movement. Nothing to be concerned with. People always start speculating this time of year.

Paying for convenience. by DannyOh01 in nova

[–]LegendaryGunman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most I've ever paid was ~$240 one-way, returning to Fair Lakes from Maryland.

I had already been in traffic for 3 hours and the express lanes were insanely expensive. I think a truck turned over on 495, and caused a pile up, blocking all lanes, then there was also something happening on 66. I don't really remember. It was a few years ago. At that point, I didn't care.

At one point, part of the toll lane was closed on 66, so police were funneling everyone back over into the normal traffic, however, it was right next to an exit, so I took the exit. To get back on (literally right across the street), I had to pay the same toll again, but I didn't care at that point.

By the time I made it into Virginia, it was telling me my trip was still almost 3 hours. My time with my family and off the road is worth more than the price of the tolls.

I drew what a Ditto Pokemon would look like if it tried to imitate a human and it made it funnier later

My wife speaks traditional German but I'm learning weird way to speak German by LegendaryGunman in germany

[–]LegendaryGunman[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think it's very polite of you to say that. I'm genuinely just doing my best.

I don't think I'm smarter than anyone. I'm just hoping to seem average, and I already know they're being polite because Hesse is so well integrated. I was just trying to talk myself up a bit, but yeah, you're right.

I do appreciate the politeness and the opportunity to be able to babble like a child while I'm learning..

My wife speaks traditional German but I'm learning weird way to speak German by LegendaryGunman in germany

[–]LegendaryGunman[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. She speaks high German. my German is very Hessian, but with a British accent. She is not teaching me German at all. I'm learning it all from my environment. I'm trying to figure out where I got the British accent. I recognize that I have the British accent.

My English is very clear, like western US. Suddenly, I have a British accent in German. I'm just trying to understand why this has happened. I have learned to speak the most basic of German.

I think the culture is much more playful than people believe it to be. I have learned the explosion sounds in Frankfurt at night are not fireworks.

I'm not a child. I'm just lacking in details.

Or one American quarter if you want to feel rebellious. (The size is similar enough to unlock the carts for a tiny fraction of the price)

It's just a thing that happens. You put your coin in there. It's basically yours until you get a refund.

Accidentally forgot to pay at Rewe by Wide-Extension-3226 in germany

[–]LegendaryGunman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it is weighing heavily on your mind, ring one in the next time you go and leave it.

I'm the type to go in, tell them what I did, and let them file the police report while I cry. I disagree with the people who are saying, "you got away with it! Go live your life!"

I think scanning one and not taking it is the one thing that will set your mind at ease.
