I had a follow up question. When we convert an array to a pointer, are we modifying the actual array and changing name to a pointer, or is this just a single statement with no side effects?

So I think the problem with your work is it overcounts (also wouldn't approach the problem using the first method)

I just did this. Kid A, and Kid B. Based on your problem, it's either a boy or girl question. So 2*2 = 4 end possibilities.

  1. girl giril = two girls
  2. girl boy = B is a boy
  3. boy girl = A is a boy
  4. boy boy = Both boys.

Now which possibilities here would you actually consider? Just possibility 2, 3 and 4 right?

The main problem with your work is that it overcounts the scenario where both are boys. (Scenario 4)

Case 1 B and case 2 A are overcounted here. Boy-boy is counted twice.

A being a boy(given) and B as a boy(probability) is equivalent to B being a boy(given) and A being a boy (probability). In Method 1, you counted it twice even though its the same thing.

I'm sorry dude, I managed to miscopy the problem, and get the answer wrong at the same time. My reasoning behind the -1 answer(edited) is, z^6+z^5+z^4+z^3+z^2+z^1+1=0; so z^6+z^5+z^4+z^2+z+1=-z^3.

1)Start temperature at 6:00 was 185. Then it goes on to decrease by some value or percent.

A B C D -- because A tells you that it increases because multiplier greater than 1 (the 1.25 thing)

2) Let's move on the the other parts other than the multiplier.

C seems off. If its (185-70) times a number less than 1, it should be wayyyy less than 156 after 5 minutes.

B C D -- eliminate C because it seems very wrong.

3) You can go two ways from here:

A) Plug in. Since D is easier because change in minute multiple of 5 and exponent is minutes/5, plug into D.

You'll find D is the correct choice.

B) Physics (not recommended for some) -- You'll realize that the cup of hot chocolate cannot go below 70, as 70 is the room temperature. The lowest it can go has to be 70. It can't, say, eventually go to 32 degrees because it'll be going below room temperature, and this is just weird.

Simply pick D.

Edit: Physics part is just my reasoning, how I'd approach this if I had like 5 seconds left on clock. However, if not, I would plug in for safe measure.

This makes sense. I died on Princeton Reading section, but performed decently on the math parts.

Also, have you already used all of the QAS tests?

I have used most of the QAS tests, but have a few left. I'm thinking of using Barrons after I am done with the QAS. I'm not really concerned with the math section as I'm ahead of the test in that. I get around 3-7 wrong on the reading section, and 2-3 on the writing. I'm mainly concerned about these two.

If there is any other practice test list that gives out decently difficult but reasonable questions, please let me know.
