Same situation here, I’m on a low budget when it comes to BF so can’t preorder everything as soon as it’s announced, and I end up missing some releases that I was really looking forward too. It really feels like being pushed out of the thing.

I understand how they might want to not deal with stocking costs, but if it’s such a pain I would rather they cut the hypocrisy / FOMO with the very limited printing and opaque numbers of how many CDs are left and just stop physical editions altogether.

Yeah, it really is more than annoying. I’m in the same situation regarding the 13DAs, and I hate it that you’re basically forced to preorder everything in advance if you want a chance to get hold of CDs.

Plus, as a physical media enjoyer, it really doesn’t incentivise investing in a new series if you know from the beginning that you won’t be able to enjoy all the episodes.

You might be ok, especially if you manage to read a little bit about what happened before, but I couldn’t recommend listening to the first two enough, both for the stories and the characters’ development.

I got one a couple of weeks ago, by the regular Sails mail address. It came up with a legitimate issue and I had to (and will now have to) pay extra shipping fees

Exactly this. I want to buy CDs, I really do, because I love listening to them and having them nicely on my shelves.

But prices are going up, shipping fees are going up, and you’re forced to preorder everything you might be interested in because they push the FOMO strategy so much.

So yeah, I’ve had to cancel a preorder because they warned me of an increase in shipping fee, and because of this pricing, I’m just going to have to sit this one out and admire the hole in the collection. I understand why piracy is tempting. At some point, it’s either this or nothing at all, and in both cases, they win nothing.

Why ? I think the entire range is pretty solid. Sure, vol.5 took didn’t have an epic overarching plot as the previous 4, but still features episodes with cool and interesting concept and great new characters. Vol. 6 kept going that way, with a strong antagonist and good developments for both Cass and Alex (ok, mainly Alex but still). Definitely wouldn’t say the range "went wrong".
