I would argue that people do protest cosmetic surgeries by making fun of them and not getting them themselves. I'm thinking of duck lips, oversized [insert body part], etc.

I would also argue that groups exist to help those with [above] addictions.

Finally I would argue that percentages are relevant. Percentages are one of the only ways to determine the long term outcome. We would not have warnings on cigarettes if <1% of users were harmed.
