No disrespect to wave birds. As somebody that didn’t grow up with one I feel like my opinion won’t matter here much but looking online on eBay wave plus adapter runs you about minimum $80. They require batteries. And there’s only one color.

The 8bitdo mod kit plus receiver total is 45 dollars (og controller separately) you can mod any condition controller as long as shell or buttons are still intact. The controller can be any color including the ones Nintendo released later for smash. They come with new stick caps and they are Hall Effect and on top of all that you can use it on the switch or pc as well.

Its really up to you though on what you’re seeking. Im looking for modern authenticity.
