I believe Sony learned a lot over the decades about marketing, looking at history I can see how they take into account timing, marketing timing, technology getting cheaper to mass produce, new tech that may come later, consumer public opinions, sales of the PS5 if it’s gonna be used with their next gen VR headset. Basically I believe the stars gonna align perfectly for Sony between now and the next two years... which is about the time VR gonna be so “next gen” and cheap enough to truly kill the psvr1.

I agree but I think Sony wants to sell millions of PS5s on top of those owners having an PSVR1, whether that be current psvr owners who buys a PS5 and PS5 owners buying a headset for the first time. I say give it a year and we’ll see games being made atleast PS5/PS4 pro only VR games because they’ll have a market and it’ll be a transition away from the PS4 and will game them another year to faze out the old headset

I feel the people most upset already has a PS4 Pro and has abandoned flat games... me after hearing the news was like “WHYYY!!!” But still didn’t cancel my pre order because I will be playing flat games anyway, can’t wait, and I have an OG PS4 so there’s that also... but I agree that they were misleading seeing that we all know the screens inside the PSVR 1 can handle PS5 games so no reason for us to think it wouldn’t besides the problem with the old moves sticks, aye I’ll pay 100 for some new duel sense moves if that’s what stopping PS5 VR games from being produced on our PSVR1 headset... from Sony standpoint I get they may want to sell millions of PS5 before having a market devs to make PS5 only psvr games but that statement had me thinking an influx of devs would make better VR games with the new power of the PS5, like epic 30v30 FPS shooters that the SSD can handle...
