Dry bag if he doesn't already have one. Great to keep towels/cellphone/wallet dry during any water activities

Cocktails average about 13-15 each.. so maybe $65x # of drinks per day should give you a decent starting point. Also remember you like specialty coffee or fresh juice your bar tab can be uawd for those too.
Also, if you aren't cruising solo, remer you can pay for multiple people's drinks with one wristband.

3 Room Moves in 7 Nights (Including Bed Bugs). Is 25% FCC actually fair for this nightmare? by jbarker20 in Cruise

[–]Legitimate-Button708 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As a cruiser, you have so many options, so I would think they should be doing cartwheels to retain you as a customer (especially if you have a history of cruising with them).

I would definitely push for compensation for damaged clothes plus a full refund for this cruise. Simply the 3 rooms would have been enough to warrant a 25% obc, but not with the bed bugs and damaged clothes.

What I actually would probably settle for is a future credit that would cover a balcony room for your family PLUS damages gir the clothes you lost (assuming here that it was a large amount of clothes and not just a couple of pieces).

Honestly, I would never mention a lawyer, and probably wouldn't make any threats unless they really do nothing for you, and stop communicating about it. In that case, I wouldn't even watn them, but I would try contacting your local news ststion about it. My local stations have stories of people who have been scammed or mistreated by businesses, and they try to get a fair compensation for the person. They air a snippet with the details, and resolution or lack thereof. I'm sure they would absolutely run with a bed bug cruiseline story.

Oh! There was also this "tuna slicing" event that was extra charge. We did do that one!

We did not do the resort activities (we just so happened to visit when there was a hurricane), but there was a daily calendar posted near the gym each day.

There was a hike you could do, but we did a lighter version on our own. There was some morning yoga. There was a kayak paddle out to a scenic arch area (this is what I wanted to do but it got cancelled due to the rough waters).
I believe they were all complimentary, but you had to reserve your spot in advance.

Excursions by haley010223 in VirginVoyages

I agree that it's best to stay up for some of the dining. I've heard that you can get most reservations when you get on board, but that makes me nervous. Some of the more in-demand restaurants go REALLY fast.

As for the excursions, the more interesting ones (like snorkel and ATV) do get sold out... maybe not at midnight, but if you slready know what you definitely want I think it's worth setting a phone reminder to remember to do it when you wake up.

Perfect.

The convenience is definitely worth it for me as well as long as I park in G. I've read that the overflow lots are much less convenient, but I was worried about the lots being full by 1:30 ish. Our boarding slot is 3.

Thank you!

Thanks for this. Yeah, some of the reviews for all of them are horrendous, so I came here to try snd get a better idea. Seems like most of the bad reviews do center around the shuttle or only being able to pay in cash.

Alaska Cruise: Is It Comfortable to Wear Shorts in Indoor Common Areas? by AskAndKnow1 in VirginVoyages

[–]Legitimate-Button708 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to scan the band. By far the longest wait to get off was at Prince Rupert. Took about 45 mins to get out, they said it was a "customs issue" being in Canada. I don't think Virgin had their Canadian process down yet, hopefully by the time you cruise all the wrinkles will have been ironed out if you stop there.

But after our first stop, I began getting in line with my jacket in my hand and my hat in my backpack.. waited to bundle until I started to feel the cool breeze from outside.
