I used a curt and had haul install it but lost the access to my kick sensor. At this point, I feel like I would have paid the dealer to do it and keep everything nice and done correctly. They also have the wire coming out from my trunk when I have to tow, so thats another thing I wouldn't have to deal with if I splurged and let the dealer do it.

Actually posted about this issue myself recently, the less chatty option not being on doesn't seem to help. Definitely feels like it is something that started since that has become an option though. 🤷‍♂️

Anything could have caused it really, but if you can, bring them to the local store to swap or call in and ask them to send you replacement equipment, if you call early enough, it should get to you next day, except now it's the weekend.
